got dumped....how can I get her back?

Just out of curiosity. I don't even think I'd take her back. If I did I'd make her my slave for a while and make her earn my trust back but the way she broke up with me def made it so things would never be the same. I am furious with how it ended. After 5 good years of memories she dumps me the week after she visited. She was planning on moving across the country to start a life with me only a few days before. Out of nowhere....dumped. She was having a great time partying with her best friend from chicago and meeting new people. She told me she didn't want to leave chicago and her friends and family. I know she still loves me in her heart. I have a feeling she wants to see what else is out there and have fun after being in a relationship last 5 years and I don't blame her. We were long distance and she was seeing her friends going on dates and having fun every week. Shit gets old fast. I have been doing what you guys said and have been ignoring her. It sucks that we are long distance and I can't date a hot girl she knows to get her jealous or maybe accidentally run into her out in the city one night and she realizes I'm looking good. I have been working out like a mad men since getting dumped and taking care of business. She has no way of knowing this though because I deleted her from facebook and everything else. Is my only option just moving on and ignoring her completely?

It is tough bro but let it go and move on. Yeah I know easier said than done but I have been there once and it did me no service to dwell on that shit.

I think so, man.  She broke up with you so it's time to move on.  If she decides she wants to get back together in the future you can decide if you want to then.  In the meantime start building a new life for yourself.  If you get some good things going you probably will forget about her anyway.  Check out the movie "Swingers"...that's the way it works a lot of the time.  Take control of your life and don't waste time on someone that decided to dump you.  Time to move on and start some new good times for yourself, bro.

thanks search. I've been doing all that shit to move on and its been working. Its just late at night the bad thoughts sometimes creep into my mind. Some people tell me don't contact her and I bet she will miss you and come back. I just don;t know what to believe. You should vent here.  You'll catch some shit but who cares.  Its a better realm to do that in.  Its hard to get over someone thats been a big part of your life for over 5 years.  If I recall correctly from another thread you said you were in your mid 20's.  I'm about 10 years older and had a horrible experience in my late 20's with a woman I loved.  We weren't married, but it involved owning a house together and her asking me one morning to move out which also was my birthday.  Not fun and I lived there about 2 more months till I left and moved into a hotel for 5 months.  The advice is right though.  As much as you may want to acknowledge her phone calls or texts, don't do it.  Its not easy either.  But in the long run it will do better for you.  Not that you can forget about her for now.  Not gonna happen.  Just don't indulge her or your whims to contact each other.  She walked away from you and didn't want to be with you.  So she should never have any expectation that you will talk with her again. Its hard to do, but stick with it.  You will be better off in the long run.   

Been tossing and turning all night thinking. I think I've finally come to grips with this situation. My heart hurts losing someone who was such a big part of my life these last 5 years. It's a scary concept to start over and find someone knew. You tell yourself you'll never find love like the kind you had blah blah blah. It will take time but I guarantee I find someone who will make me happier. This whole thing will have made me a better person. I'm a huge box when it comes to losing people. I need to work on that. I don't handle death very well and this felt kinda similar. I really do hope that I can be friends with her one day even if it is weird seeing her with someone else. First of all ,how old are you ?  Look your self in the mirror and ask I,m I mature ?  if yes   then being a human being and friend is the first thing after knowing her 5 years ,you should have no problem.  No revenge or any of that is going to win her back. Enough of kids stuff.   If you say you love her,you keep in touch ,at least have her know the option is there.   Growing up is the biggest part in life when loving someone.
