Well guys last Saturday it wasn't looking good for me betting on Army as Navy was driving late. Fortunately Reynolds fumbled the ball and i got my cover. 1-0 day +$1,000 47-62-2 on the season -$10,077. Going to try to finish strong into the bowls. I have 3 plays on bowls and they are:
UL.Lafayette +1.5 for $880
To be honest guys i was suprised this line was low and suprised the Ragin Cajuns aren't favored. 4 straight 8 win regular seasons with a chance for 4 straight 9 win seasons and 4 New Orleans Bowl wins in a row. The Ragin Cajuns finished the year 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 going 6-1 SU in those games
Nevada bounced back in year 2 under Coach Polian with a 7-5 season. Cody Fajardo playing his final game today looking to get over 1,000 yards rushing as he is 3 yards from doing that. Nevada makes their hay on the ground and UL-Lafayette has a good run defense
Both teams are bad in pass defense Nevada 115th UL-Lafayette 120th in FBS. I like Broadway the Cajuns qb to take better advantage of the pass defense than Fajardo because if i'm UL-Lafayette i want Fajardo to beat me through the air
Most people are forgetting 1 intangible for this game. The game starts at 11 AM. Nevada is out of Reno a 3 hour time difference so when we kick off it will be 8 AM Reno time. UL Lafayette has been to this bowl 4 years in a row. They know the area etc the Nevada kids for most their 1st time in New Orleans and you have the 3 hour time difference. I like the Ragin Cajuns to win and cover their 4th straight New Orleans bowl
2. W.Michigan -2 for $550
Both teams in the Potato Bowl have bounced back off disaster seasons. WMU was 1-11 LY AF was 2-10. WMU finished 8-4 losing a tough finale to NIU. 8-4 SU 10-2 ATS for the Broncos. AF bounced back to a 9-3 season where they won the Commander in Chief Trophy beat the snot out of Boise State and beat Colorado State in the finale.
AF bounced back from the injuries and Coach Calhoun did a great job. Kale Pearson the senior is their qb and he had a nice year but he's questionable today. WMU HC PJ Fleck just got a new contract that will pay him 800K a year and with those recruiting classes he's had you know why. Freshman rb Jarvion Franklin may be the best player in the group of 5 conferences. 1525 rushing yards and 25 TD's
Both teams IMO will struggle to stop the other. I can't remember the last time WMU saw the option and AF has had to get ready for the weapons on offense that WMU has with Terrell at qb,2 good rb's and 2 top notch WR's in Davis and Braverman. As i wrote last week i wonder if AF is disappoined that won the CIC trophy beat Col.State blew out Boise and their reward is playing on Boise's field in the Potato Bowl against WMU? You'd think the season they had would take them to Hawaii or San Diego
I like a lot of points in this one but i like WMU to make 2 or 3 more plays and cover the spread
3. W.Michigan-Air Force over 58 for $110
If i was up 7-10K this would be a 1K bet. This game just smells like 45-38,41-34,38-28 etc. Lots of points
BOL guys your thoughts are welcome
