UNLV is the other school to receive an APR ban which for Idaho means they are ineligible for a bowl game and for a Sun Belt title. Their 4 yr APR score is 903 and the minimum score is 930. So with Georgia Southern and Appalachian State transitioning this year to the Sun Belt only 8 teams can win a Sun Belt title this year
Look guys i'm aware they didn't have much of a shot for a bowl but this hurts Petrino's program especially on the field. 4 hours a week that would've gone towards football practice will be devoted to academics and you lose a day with your team each week in the season. Also players can transfer out of Idaho due to this APR ban. So this can hurt the depth of the program

Well , since they have no shot at a bowl game, they might just as well go down to Gainesville on August 30 and kick the snot out of the Gators. Hopefully they're at least smart enough to know where Florida is.
Helping Kama'aina to beat their " Local " since 1994.

There is an article on cbssports.com written by Dennis Dodd that a source close to the situation says there could be at least 2-5 more schools hit with an APR ban. We should know by Mid-May. Next year we will have 39 bowl games in college football and in 2015 we'll have 40. For 1 reason or another Penn State,UNLV,Idaho,Ga.Southern,Appalachian State and Old Dominion won't be eligible for postseason{3 of the schools are transitioning and Penn State is on probation}
Idaho AD Rob Spear said no players are transferring out of the program. And the day of practice Idaho is losing will be their "Get better Sunday" scrimmages. In those scrimmages younger players and walk-ons would participate. For example QB Matt Linehan took 1,230 snaps in those scrimmages LY
wiseguy if i were Petrino i would play it up to the team that the Florida game is our bowl game
BWS you may be right
The moral of this story gentlemen is get your players to class and have them do what they are supposed to do

Sorry guys 1 more note most of the APR issues for Idaho came when Robb Akey was the HC the APR scores kept declining under Akey. The other moral of the story which sucks in college sports is the guilty get away and the innocent suffer
