Here's a scary thought: what will oddsmakers and sharps alike do when Phil Steele stops making his mag? Hopefully he has a son or daughter that will be able to continue making the mag after he retires...Here's hoping he continues making the mag for a 100 more years

Overrated!! spends way too much time bragging bout dark horse teams He picked over the years and then giving history of teams over the several years, rather than focusing only on the current year squad. It's almost like he's cutting and pasting from three four years ago?

I use to live by this book the first few weeks of the season but last few years, he has been way off on the strenghts of O-line, D-line, DBs just about everything.

Too many look for Steele for ANSWERS... *nobody has the answers
What his mag does is provide a comprehensive INFORMATION source....that when used along with his website...is hands down the best anywhere.... *and is also probably the most influential in sports / wagering history
His 2 websites are PhilSteele.com ....and NCsports.com (NC=northcoast)....
NCsports has his newsletters and schedules in rotational order you can download / print... Main one has a ton of stuff.....including>
links to official websites and local media outlets > https://philsteele.com/FBSInfo/schoollinks.html
daily blog ....as useful or more so....than stuff in his mag *includes game notes from the previous week https://blog.philsteele.com/
plus team pages for every team (and FCS teams) with stats and results going back 20 years https://philsteele.com/fbsinfo/TeamPages/teampgsmain.html
Problems with his preview mag?.... *info is current really...only from the end of spring practice to beginning of fall practice...but still useful throughout the year as most team's (barring tons of injuries) key elements don't change too much *he's gotten too big/busy....too many mistakes are made...and too much info carried over year to year....he really should clean that crap up and stop trying to fill every millimeter of space
His newsletters are a great investment....INFO wise... *picks much better this year at 60.7%.....< not bad for submitting Sunday before lines are even out..............
Humble when ambitious - gracious when successful - resilient when you fail.
