JDN - would appreciate your thoughts on Texas and Michigan...CMU has a QB, lost their top draft OL, has 6 and 6 starters playing game at the Big House, against a motivated Michigan team that lost to a good South Carolina Team in the bowl by 5. I have heard Michigan will have a fairly young but talented secondary. I don't think that will make a diff in week 1.
Current Spread - Michigan -26 (BetonLine)
I think my Horns will role...I now I sound like a delusional homer, but I think the dynamic has changed. Influential big money boosters want an exit strategy for Mack. Mack's feeling the heat. Plus, with BYU and Ole Miss on deck in weeks 2 and 3, they need to play at a high level. DC Diaz is also feeling the heat and I think the goal will be shut out, just like against New Mexico last year.. Texas won at home 45-0 against a NM that beat a Walker coached NM St team by 14, and won I believe 3 or 4 games, which was more than NM had won the previous three years cumulative...My take...Q1 Texas 14 NMST 0, Q2 Texas 35 NMST 0, Q3 Texas 56 NM St 0, Q4, Texas 59 NM St 3
Current Spread Texas -42 (BetonLine)
Thus, I really like Texas and Michigan in week 1...

I respectfully disagree..i believe you have to look at the matchups and motivation...

| HUGE game out the box week 1. where's fast eddie I think the Tigers show up and play hard, if they do that, then the H-Frogs passing game is over done shut down. Cam Cameron should bring something new and creative to the LSU offense. The LSU QB will benefit greatly. After watching TCU for some years, they will struggle to score. Even against a bunch of new starters from LSU. 24-13 Final, Tigers win. |
