Well maybe not so deep.  Just a gut reaction after seeing some opening lines.  Discussion welcome.  BOL to everyone this week.

Kent State +1 Army
-- Army off a big upset of BC. Bit of a letdown spot. Kent St. with the best D in the MAC.  Can they defend the quirky flexbone?

Virginia Tech -10 Duke
Beamer's boys have been crapping the bed.  Do they get better here against the Dookies?

Purdue -1 Wisconsin
Like the Boilers to bounce back here at home

Pitt +2.5 Louisville
Want 3 here, but would take Pitt @ home.

Vandy +7 Florida
Let down for Florida.  Vandy catching a TD @ home is good value I think.

Wyoming +5.5 Air Force
Have to research Wyoming further.  Did Air Force leave it all on the field against Navy?

Illinois +21 Michigan
Not sure Michigan should be laying this many points in conference.

Wazzu +7 Cal
Cal took it to the Bruins, now have to travel to quite little Pulman.  Not sure how up they'll be for this one.  Maynard returns to former self here.

BYU -2.5 OSU
Surprised BYU is favored after their O's paltry showing on Thursday.  Cougars have a good D.  Beavs have had problems with this squad in the past.

Washington +13.5 USC
Best thing that could have happened from a betting standpoint was for UW to get blown out at Autzen.  Sark might have them ready to win this straight up.  Trojans should not be laying this many points in conference on the road to anyone except Colorado.

Stanford +9.5 ND
ND off a blow out victory over rival.  Tree's D can keep them close.  Nunez looked decent in win over Cats. Hoping for 10.

Forgot to add LSU -2.5

Cocks in a huge letdown spot have to travel to Death Valley.

Like Kent State and Vandy, although I would like more points with the Commodores.

Laroja:  Think we may get more points on gameday?  Florida money coming in late?

Also in interested in:

C. Michigan over Navy.

Navy coming off huge emotional victory.  I'm not so great with the MAC.  Any MAC guys able to shed some light on what we might see from Central?

Like the Stanford play

My initial gut liked CMU as well.  This looks like the worst Navy team in years.

I capped the game last week vs Toledo. C. Mich is poor vs
the run (allow 5.9 ypc) which is interesting against a team
like Navy.C.Mich allows a lot of yards and also a lot of points.
I just don't how they will do vs. Navy D. It's a no pick for me.

Best of Luck this week.

Zoot:

They are not world beaters for sure, but I think they are able to put together a solid game at home-- like the V.Tech game earlier this year.

Mannion out for OSU.  Interested what the line will be once it's back on the board.  Possible overreaction to the back-up QB starting?  Not sure BYU can put up more than 7 points in this game.

Didn't Migh. just put a 44-17 beating on Purdue, at Purdue?  21 vs Illini. isn't a stretch.   BOL

222bad:

They sure did.

Line is up to 23.5 now.  Michigan came off a loss to ND and had a week to prepare for Purdue.   Now get Illy with Sparty on deck.  I'm just not expecting the sharpest of Wolverine performances here.

I don't put a huge amount of stock into past performances, but you have to go back to 03 to find a Michigan win over the Illini that would cover this number.

Still a lean.  Not sure I'll play this one.  Thanks for the input & BOL to you too.

Pimp:

No, it's at Martin Stadium.  Ducks game was in Seattle.

BYU as 6 point favorites.  Leaning heavily to the Beavers at this number.  There is often an overreaction when a backup QB gets the nod.  BYU's offense has been anaemic.  Think the Beavs keep it close if not outright win.

Locking in

1. Oregon State +6 BYU
-- Low scoring ballgame.  BYU has no FG kicker and Nelson's health is questionable.  I'll take my chances on OSU's D and that the backup QB manages the game well.

Considering -- Colorado.  Waiting to see if the line goes higher.

Mettenberger shaving the porn stache didn't help against the Gators, but SC in a terrible spot here.  Tigers + night game = trouble for the old ball coach.  Hatter gets it done.  Locking in--

LSU -2.5 Cocks

Gonna take a shot with Colorado.  ASU has Oregon next week.. they'll do enough to win the game but don't think they cover this number.

4. Colorado +23 Arizona St.
