When Bama was the NT 3 years ago and they had a ton of guys drafted.. Bama still finished #6 in total defense the following season..

Now add in two more #1 rated recruiting classes and you've got the 2012 D..

Had more experience then than now...No way you replace that D and dont have a big drop off, and i'm not even talking about the leadership that is gone from that unit...

His point, such as it is, is not based on anything I posted.  Reading comprehension is apparently a lost art.

I futher note that dolyman failed to muster any type of counter argument.  The extent of his intellect and football knowledge were personified in his post.  Thus, regretfully, I feel compelled to stand behind my previous post.

This is not true, when i first come to this site i didn't care for Jimmy because he was against Alabama on some games i had a different opinion on.

I learned different, just because Jimmy is an Alabama fan don't expect him to sugar coat it.

All i can say is follow his picks one season and you most likey will come out a winner at seasons end, me and him do have different opinions on this game but i have enough respect to respect it.

Do you like Alabama a little, or hate Michigan a lot.

Either way it good to see you on Alabama's side...

I don't like or dislike teams.. just think UM is a fraud.. they should have gone 8-4 or worse LY, just caught a bunch of breaks

Can't see UM coming close in this one.. people are too caught up in the UM "brand" of how they USED to be- not what they are now.. this isn't a UM team of old, they still run the spread, have no depth on the lines and are undersized in most spots going up against the best OL in CFB, a NT winning QB and Nick Saban.

Maybe I'll be wrong- but people look at UM as 11-2 Sugar Bowl Champs with Denard Robinson.. I look at UM and see a very fortunate team in terms of TO's and plays LY and a team that went 1-2 vs B1G squads above 6-6 in the Reg Season and who took down mighty VT with 180 yards of offense and 12 FDs.

I agree with you.   It's not one of my top games, but if it keeps dropping, I may be on it.  The last time I checked 5 Dimes it was down to Bama -11.5...

You refuse to notice you lost the heart and soul of that Defense...

Your a fan so it's expected, and fans always want to have "hope" that they will be bigger, stronger, faster than the year before...No one is agruing the players you guys have are talented and possibly more talented than the guys whom were just drafted...

But those guys had experience  and experience is the hardest aspect of the game to replace....You want guys that have been there before, and bama lost a load of it on 'D

I'll give you Michigan and 14 points.  How much money are you willing to wager to back up your ignorance???  I can match any amount.

I can see people putting BIG $$$ on UM in this game, high hopes for the season....DR getting the heisman talk, (like always within the first month....) and Hoke making a statement by not coaching, but rather just walking up and down the sideline.

I'll gladly take Bama at probably -17, but if it reaches even -10 (which it very well may) that may be my only play of the first week.

I hope UM does well this season, honestly....being undefeated heading into the OSU/UM matchup is what you want, but I don't see them having a chance in this game.

Players don't get drafted from high school to college football. I would most likely enjoy reading your post if you would lay off the homer bullshit.

Jimmydafreak dude alabama guys are not rabked that much higher in recruiting! Bama is great but michigan with less talent and equal coaching really help michigan plus michigans veterans! Dont max out out on bama! The line will def be bet up higher to 13 14 i think!sharps will like bama late but be careful!
