The love affair with the Cubs as -200 as the pre series favorite is perplexing. Cubs nation has stepped up again to make Lackey (5.5) a favorite vs. Kluber (0.whatever era). .....and now we have long winded write ups explaining why the Cubs should be laying -130 in this spot when they haven't been able to hit a curveball.....just a total head scratcher.
Cleveland backers owe Cubs Nation a big thank you for making these lines so outrageous.

Well Achilles.....
When I gamble, I look for value in the line. I never quoted anything that the media is serving up. If I listened to them, I would have ripped up my series ticket after game two when every Tom, person and Harry had the Cubs going 4-1.
When the series opened at Cubs -200, I didn't see any value in taking Chicago. I was in a few threads before game one stating the same, and I never beat my chest about it. To me, it's about placing the wager where the best value lies.
I never said the series was done, so please don't speak for me. I do, however, believe that the current series line value lies once again with the Indians at -120. Cubs fans all across the nation are betting with their heart and that is making for some perplexing lines. The Cubs are a sentimental favorite, and it is creating line value for Cleveland.

My opinion is posted, not going to go there or argue that,
but there is a mistake in the original post. OP says the Tribe would be the
public darling, but it didn’t happen. They opened -110, but Cubs Nation jumped
all over that and rocketed the line up on the Cubs. If Kluber had remained -110
all day or gone up I would not have a bet on this game, but a line value swing from
+91 to +122 is a whole different matter.

Achilles. When you wrote "Let's face it, there will never be favorable lines for the Cubs in this series" you made my point.
I'm a Mets, Panthers and Hornets fan and am guilty of not playing the "value" side when these teams are in action. However, when I'm not betting with my heart, I look for value. I think we both agree that the value lies in Cleveland. That was my rationale all along.
