I don't care if you gambled and won.....money comes and goes. I will make money, I will win money, and I will lose money. Big deal!
To the true fans of KC I say congrats. You have a complete team. I thought the Mets starting pitching would give us some hope, maybe even the edge in this series. I was wrong. Dead wrong.
While it's not over (the Mets could come back to take 4 of 6), I doubt this series is winnable for my team. KC has much better hitting. They are the best team I have seen this postseason. It's just 2 games vs. the Mets, but this is the same thing they did to Toronto....and Toronto is the 3rd best team in baseball.

LA had no bats. The Cubs are a young team with bad defense. This KC team is one of the best of all time. I really believe that. They excel at every aspect of the game. I think they don't get the respect for being a power team is because their ballpark is so big.

I am a Marlins fan that was pulling for the Mets up until the World Series. I was very impressed with their team, but I watched the KC/HOU series very closely and said to myself the Royals work pitchers so hard. The Royals work pitchers into bad counts and foul off tons of pitches. That makes it tough for any pitcher. The Royals bullpen is so good too. Mets should be good for a long time if the resign Murphy and Cespedes, but this is definitely the Royals' year.

What you say about the Royals park and their offensive numbers is so true. Every year Royals fans have to put up with A.L. East fans telling them they will get bombed by A.L. East opponents, but then those same teams have to play at Kaufman and their numbers go way down, the Royals travel east and do just fine on offense, but noone makes that comparison. Same thing happens when A.L. East teams go to Seattle, Oakland and Anaheim, but their fans call it a slump or say they didn't play well on the road, but parks make a big difference and most folks will never appreciate it..
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

When they showed the camera view from the blimp, I was in awe of the size of the outfield. It's amazing spacious. If you don't have a top notch outfield, you will struggle playing KC in their park.
On a side note, it would have been a comedy of errors watching Schwarber and Soler attempt to cover all that ground.

You're not a Mets fan. You want to know why? Because truly Mets fan don't give up on their team until they are officially out. You are writing this as if Royals are up 3-0 in the series and they have a 10-0 lead in the bottom of the 9th in game 4.
I am a Mets fan and I will congratulate Royals fans when their team is celebrating on the mound the championship.
This has nothing to do with their fans or their team. You don't believe in your team. It's sad.
We are down 0-2. It shouldve been 1-1, but it's history.
Obviosuly, we have to win game 3 to make it a series and we will always have the pitching. I'm good with that.

Actually the Mets had a good chance to beat KC in game 1. They couldn't protect the lead not once but twice. They lost the momentum in game 2. If they can catch a break and gain momentum back, I believe they can come back. They have some good starting pitchers. This series should be 1-1.
KC will choke just like last year. It's not over til it's over.

You obviously didn't read everything I wrote. I will be there until the end of the last inning and the last out, win or lose so don't call me out as not being Mets fan. My dedication to this team is 4 decades and counting.

what is it with all you people saying kc choked last year? they were 40/1 underdogs to win the world series at the begining of the year and made it to the world series. the world series was pretty much a pick-em before it started. they lost in game 7 3-2 because madison bumgarner pitched the greatest post season run or at least world series run in the history of baseball. 21 innings and 1er including 5 ip and 0er on 2 days rest in game 7. anyone who thinks it was the royals choking and not him just being absolutely unhittable is crazy. there wasnt a team or player in the world that was going to hit him last october. the royals FAR from chocked unless you just assume everyone who loses chokes regardless of the competition. people are making it sound as if the royals were -200 faves last year and lost in 6. they ve built the organization up from within and have taken every step to this point. the next one will be holding the trophy next week.

It will take a monumental effort from the Mets to come back but it's not impossible. According to 5dimes, the KC -370/Mets +330 line has a vig split of KC -350. This correlates to 77.5% (KC) vs. 22.5% (NY) win probability for each team.
Right now, simply because of the way game 2 went, it doesn't feel like the Mets are in the series. If they win game 3, everything changes.
My biggest concern is that KC is a very good fast ball hitting team. While the 95-99 heat the Mets staff throws is normally a huge advantage, the Royals seem to thrive on fastball pitchers. They only had three swings for a miss vs. deGrom. That's an unbelievable stat considering what deGrom had done in the postseason.

This should be good. Why do you think it should've been 1-1? Is it because Hosmer made a rare error in the 8th inning giving them the lead, or when Alex Gordon squared up a Familia fastball, and hit it 437 feet?

Looks like the Mets homer is trying to "reverse jinx" his team back into the series.

When I wrote this post I was down in the dumps and not thinking about a reverse jinx. We got dominated in game 2. It was demoralizing, but it was not the 4th win for the Royals.
Going home will bring us new life. A game 3 win changes everything.
