I've seen tools on Covers all screwed up. I know for a fact that on the line history link, on the day of the game, line changes are given in Eastern time. After game day, those same exact line changes will then be listed in Central time. Then for the totals, where they show the money price, there's nothing to indicate whether its the over or the under which is favored! How screwed up is that?
I think I recall some issue regarding the stadium info wind results chart. I had some suspicions about this, and there were times I would keep my eye on the wind for a specific game, using wind data from a reliable third party source, and then check the Covers stadium info wind chart for that stadium the next day, and saw that it was the record in the wrong column which would be updated. Just be careful.
