It is very insulting.  Canada is a busch league country when it comes to baseball, so maybe they didn't know any better.  Nobody on Mexico was suspended...

Maybe you are from Canada..let's say a hockey team is up 9-3 with 2 minutes left and the team that is winning pulled its goalies to try to get a tenth goal.  Do you think that would start a brawl?

Wow. Thorpe, that is a massively inept, uninformed and bigoted response.

1) Mexico had 4 players suspended. Canada had 3. Get your facts straight.

2) This was/is a run differential tournament. You score till you mercy in case of tie-breakers. Was Japan "bush league" for putting up 16 runs this morning?

3) To think Cdn' s don' t know anything about baseball is so bigoted I amnot sure of what an appropriate response is? Do Americans know anything about hockey?

It's all about run differential. Every team should be trying to run up the score. Image in Canada lost the tie breaker by 1 run differential because they took it easy on Mexico.

If the Mexican's are truly insulted by Canada trying to score, how about they take it upon themselves and step their game up and not allowing them to score by making good pitches, timely hitting, good defensive plays.

It's not Canada's fault that the Mexican's played like garbage. They deserved the loss.
