#127 Posted: 10/17/2012 6:51:42 AM I was just wondering if any of you Tiger fans are getting a bit of feeling like this is 2006 when we swept the ALCS and had to wait for the ALDS to finish a week later and came up real flat to the Cards in the W.S. Anyways lets keep it going tonight and beat their Ace in Sabathia and let the chips fall were they might. Don't want this thing going back to New York as their bats kind of woke up a little last night with Cano even getting a hit. Lets ramp it up again tonight.
GO TIGERS GO

#128 Posted: 10/17/2012 1:24:16 PM I always say worry about things like that when you get there. First we need to accomplish our goal and finish of the Yankees. The long layoff in 2006 may or not have factored in, but I don't think it was a factor in our pitchers not being able to throw to first base. Go Tigers! |

Lets do it tonight. Scherzer can handle Sabathia no problem. Kind of like the +1.5 runs on both the Giants and Tigers but think i will take the night off and just enjoy watching the Yanks go down.
LETS GO TIGERS, LETS GO TIGERS I CAN HEAR THE CROWD NOW. |

I did take the Giants at +114 moneyline. Numbers make sense for a play and I do see Cain stepping up after a couple of mediocre playoff starts. Giants are an excellent road team and I think the Cards bat might be doing a disappearing act. If I hit this game then I may bet the heart and Detroit, although my first inclination is to watch and see how the game is going and then make an in game play possibly if it makes sense. Still have my series bet so I haveaction regardless.

#133 Posted: 10/17/2012 4:07:59 PM Line has moved up a little since this morning (-112 to -116 for me) but it appears even the Yankee backers have mailed it in and are jumping all over CC. |

#135 Posted: 10/17/2012 6:18:01 PM Now its K-Rod and Granderson riding the pine. Hard to believe the guy that led the team in home runs is riding the pine and the other guy makes a gazillion dollars sitting on the bench munching on sunflower seeds. Idios bronx bombers see ya next year the Tigers finish this off starting in 1 and a half hours. Getting the ready.

Giants are really aggravating me. A million base runners, Pence and Belt stink, one bad pitch by Cain and its not looking good... No breaks in baseball for me right now. |

#137 Posted: 10/17/2012 6:27:31 PM For all of us Tiger fans in this thread lets pick an MVP for the Tigers tonight in the hopeful series sweep. I am going with Avsail Garcia, I think he is going to come up with the game winning RBI. |

He is going to be a great on. What are we going to do next year when VM comes back and rumors they may go after Josh Hamilton. Anyways MVP has to be Mr. Young or can we give it to a DH. Anyways looking forward to them taking CC down tonight. Laid off the bets just going to enjoy the game.

#140 Posted: 10/17/2012 6:44:41 PM Can't believe LETZROLL got that in before i posted. Oh well i guess i am not the only one who thinks DY has been a huge contributor in this series. Just think you should have to contribute on both offence and defence to be the MVP.

#141 Posted: 10/17/2012 6:44:41 PM I was just talking about a player for tonight's game to have a little fun. Series wise I agree Delmon has to be leading at this point. |

Yea I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to playing in the field as opposed to being a DH, but Edgar Martinez and Paul Molitor late in his career softened me a bit. |

#144 Posted: 10/17/2012 6:48:05 PM For tonight i might go with Omar Infante man when he came over i was a little worried about him but he has certainly picked it up in the last 5 or 6 weeks. Stands in there kind of like old Alan Trammell.

Born and raised in Detroit. Went to U of Mich. Had my heart broken in when I was in my mid-20's (I'm old now), and moved to Colrado to "start over." I love my Colorado teams, but the Tigers/Lions/Wings were my passion growing up. Many, many, happy memories from Tiger Staduim. |
