YTD: 51-29. (NHL Playoffs Only) Last Pick Game 5: Sharks(WON) Last 20 Picks: 15-5
SCF Game 6 Pick: Sharks -110
*Pitt 2-0 in Game 6 this post season *SJS 1-1 in Game 6 this post season
*Pitt 6-4 on the road this post season. *SJS 8-3 at home this post season.
Both teams played OT in their game 6 games in round two, neither had a game 6 in the opening round of the playoffs.
Hats off to the Sharks for keeping this a series when it looked like Pitt kept finding a way to win at the end of every game at the start of the series. If it wasn't for Martin Jones spectacular goaltending in Game 5 this series may be over but he played very well and the cross bar and pipes helped him out as well.
Martin Jones made 44 saves in game 5. Did you know the last time a goalie came close to that in the SCF it was back in 1967? Jones will continue his excellent play at home in Game 6. In Game 5 the Sharks played with the lead for the first time this series and if their was a time to continue that it will be at home in another do or die.
Everyone is on the Penguins but I believe the Sharks will put one a performance tonight at the Shark Tank and force a Game 7. The Penguins will be doing everything in their power to avoid a Game 7. Hopefully Matt Murray will be a nervous wreck and give up a few quick goals. One stat that isn't on my side is the Penguins won the 91, 92 and 2009 cup on the road.
Sticking with my gut and picking The Sharks tonight to force a game 7. Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau have waited over a decade + to play in a Stanley cup final and now they are at home trying to force one more game. I feel they have a big game.
Random Facts: *Home Favorites have gone 44-18 in the SCF since 2006.
* The Under has gone 4-1 in this years SCF and is now 40-20 since 2006.
