to win the NCAA Hockey Championship odds @ William-Hill US
North Dakota +400 Minnesota State +450 Boston University +500 Boston College +750 Minnesota 10-1 Harvard 12-1 Denver 12-1 Miami-Ohio 14-1 Minnesota-Duluth 15-1 Michigan Tech 18-1 Providence 18-1 St Cloud State 22-1 Nebraska Omaha 25-1 Yale 30-1 Quinnipiac 30-1 RIT 100-1
I think the best "high odds" with a decent chance is Michigan Tech 18-1. they are in a relatively weak bracket with North Dakota (how they are the fav over either Minnesota State or BU is beyond me), Quinnipiac and St Cloud State. they should get to the Final Four
Yale interesting because of their excellent D&G and their "history back". they ran the table two years ago as a 60-1 as the14th seed. only reason I will NOT chance it is only 30-1 very low for a 15th seed AND BU offense vs defense stats. but IF Yale were to defeat BU I think they could knock off either Minnesota or Duluth the next round
definitely do NOT want to waste money on Miami-Ohio. sorry Boo's daughter BUT as stated before, Enrico Blasi's Redhawks have a history of CHOKING in the NCAA tourney going back to when they blew the championship game to Boston University in the last 2 minutes of regulation in 2009.

Minnesota State and Boston University numbers 1 & 1a. don't think either has team that can challenge in their bracket although as stated Yale with the D&G can be a "dangerous dog". even though Miami-Ohio usually finds some way to lose, I don't really see anyone in their bracket to challenge and Michigan Tech for the reasons stated. they should be your Final Four with Minnesota State beating Miami-Ohio and either Michigan Tech or BU (hopefully Tech) in a "squeeker" in the semi-finals

I am probably going to take Providence College at ++ money against the Redhawks.
Redhawks could very well choke AGAIN for the reasons stated and it's really a "home game" for the Friars
I booked Michigan Tech -135 for Friday and waiting to see IF I can get better than +180 on both Yale and Quinnipiac. VERY small "sprinkle" on RIT +900 Staurday just in case something weird happens and also Harvard -105. I jumped on that soon as I saw it. thinking Denver -130 only because Jerry York's Eagles are NOT the team they have been in the past BUT may get a better line as BC is "public team"

I was suppose to go to the P.C. - Miami game Saturday but I have to go to my daughters ice show. Even she said she wished she could go to the game instead.

OK defintely freshman forward Jack Eichel from Boston University. 24 goals 42 assist for 66 points in 36 games. most people have him the #2 pick in the entry draft
with the numbers Yale goalie Alex Lyon is putting up along with Minnesota State goalie Stephon Williams and Jamie Phillips from Michigan Tech, I would think all three will get the scouts attention esp IF Lyon could steal that 1st game from BU

would "sprinkle" HEAVY on MSU. They're the #1 overall seed in the NCAA Tourney.
I watched them play twice this year. Once, back in Jan. at The North Star College Cup, where they beat the Golden Gophers 4-2, before losing to Bemidji St in the Finals.
Saw them again this past weekend trounce MI. Tech and Ferris St, and they dominated the WCHA Tourney winning the Broadmoor Trophy.
Watch for a couple kids- Zach Palmquist, Matt Leitner, Bryce Gervais and this Fab Freshman- Brad McLure, who scored a hat trick in the Championship game. Plus their goalie, a Junior, Stephon Williams has been standing on his head most of the season
Unbelievable stat- They only have 2 kids with a negative +/- for the entire season. A very deep, well balanced team, that could very well win it all. Went out in 1st round the past couple years, but have kids with tourney experience.
This school is also David Backes' Alma Mater!!
Gents,
This is from my Post on "IN Game" last night. I really like this team to take the whole thing. See now they went from -700 last night to -450 today, but still worth "Sprinkling" on!!

I was hoping the Gophers might not get as much love from the odds makers. I was hoping -120 to -125. They are playing well, though, and they have a very manageable region. They arguably have the best goalie in the land as well. Was hoping they might be getting 15:1 to win, but I only see 12:1.

great pick yale backers. good def always beat good offense on the ice.
well Yale goalie Alex Lyon gave BU a game as expected BUT lost 2-3 in OT. I went past Westgate Superbook (former Hilton) early and was able to get down on Yale 40-1 for $25 and Michigan Tech 25-1 for $80 just before Yale vs BU started. Michigan Tech up on St Cloud State 1-0 end of 1st period @ Fargo. SUCKS that ESPN does NOT have that broadcast (AZZHOLES!!!). wish NBC Sports would get the rights in the future
the Westgate futures were....
Boston University 7-2 North Dakota 9-2 Minnesota State 5-1 Boston College 6-1 Denver 8-1 Minnesota 12-1 Minnesota-Duluth 15-1 Miami-Ohio 15-1 Harvard 25-1 Michigan Tech 25-1 Providence 25-1 Nebraska-Omaha 30-1 St Cloud State 30-1 Yale 40-1 Quinnipiac 40-1 RIT 200-1

well Yale goalie Alex Lyon gave BU a game as expected BUT lost 2-3 in OT.
OOPS!! SCS has tied MTU 1-1 5 minutes into 2nd period
btw. watching the BU vs Yale game it looks like BU has a "matador" defense. waving at the opponent skates by. they could have a BIG problem IF the get Minnesota with the Gophers offensive numbers. 3rd in scoring and 1st on power play

I was hoping the Gophers might not get as much love from the odds makers. I was hoping -120 to -125. They are playing well, though, and they have a very manageable region. They arguably have the best goalie in the land as well. Was hoping they might be getting 15:1 to win, but I only see 12:1.
I agree Hutch. The only thing that worries me is which Wilcox shows up? If he plays like he did against Union last year and like he did during the Gophers 5-12 slump earlier this year, it's going to be a long night. But if he plays like he did at the start of the year, and the last 4 games, including the Big 10 Tourney- it's lights out Bulldogs!!
I like a small Parley with the Gophers and u 5.5 @ +225

Boy OH!!! WHAT has happened to the Goofy Gophers offense? 3-0 UM-D end of the 1st period including an "own goal" off a Minnesota D-man. definite "matador defense" by Gophers so far
