Because they don't---period!!! Seems there were a few people on the forum who indicated the Strangers offense is back on track (after they scored 5 goals against Washington in their elimination contest on Monday. Lets keep in mind that through the first six games of that series, the New York only scored 11 goals, including 2 in their first three road games against Washington. Listen this team's offense never got on track the entire season because they had no or very little offense to begin with in the first place. The NY Strangers enjoy a good night when their offense scores two goals while three is an exceptionally good night. So here they are again tonight with nothing to show on the scoreboard through forty minutes of play against Boston. Now that is truly 'sad' and somewhat embarrassing. Heck don't be surprised if Rask doesn't enjoy a shutout tonight and again in game two. In my opinion this team shouldn't even be here and the only reason they got past the Caps in the opening round was because Washington's best player failed to appear for the entire series and also because the entire Caps team failed to appear for game seven. That is the bottom line in a nutshell. Finally, do you think a Boston sweep is in the cards?
