#5 Posted: 7/23/2012 3:04:36 PM At the deadline, they wanted McDonaugh, Del Zotto, and Kreider.
In the end, they get none of them. I'm a fan.

as I said in another thread, NO way the Rangers would part with DZ or Kreider. getting Dubinsky, Anisimov, Erixon & a 1st for Nash probably the best Columbus could expect.
those three have to be REALLY happy going from the Big Apple (and a Cup contender) to the Big Nothing. at least Columbus is a good place to "hide" IF you just want to "go thru the motions" and screw off.

#8 Posted: 7/23/2012 3:18:23 PM Yeah, Howson was holding out for the world and ended up with very little. For that return I think I would have brought Nash into camp and opened the season with him. Perfect deal for the Rangers |

That means they'd have to match the 14 years, $130M he signed with Philly. I can't see them paying Nash, Gaborik and that monstrosity of a front loaded deal Weber is getting |

HOW can you "ruin" something that's been fucked up from the get-go? ONLY thing Columbus has EVER had was Nash and NO player can do it by themselves
getting SOMETHING is definately better than having him "walk away" as an UFA for NOTHING. |

#25 Posted: 7/23/2012 5:31:05 PM So the Rangers got a 40 goal scorer for over 100 million dollars and are stuck with him for how long...???????........How Much...????????????????????????????????????????///////
Columbus got 4 young players, 2 from the second round and 2 from the first round, with a few million to spare............ Not that they had much to begin with except a guy who wants more money than the franchise can afford and score's 40 goals........ Oh, I forgot, his POTENTIAL is phenominal............. Almost a Gretzky-esque type...???????????????????????????????????.. I mean, 100 plus million....................................???????????????????
It remains to be seen if he score's more that a ''mere'' forty goals with that powerhouse in New York called the New York Rangers........................ Almost thought for a minute the Yankee's signed him for all that cash... Lundqvist will surely carry them into the playoffs with Nash and his 4o + goals........... But what happens then.... The Franchise makes money '' AGAIN '' because it's N.Y., but doe's the team get to the finals with Nash...??????????????????????
Sorry, but I dont' think they win the cup because they signed the 100 million dollar baby........ JMO........................
Sports is boring without Hockey...... Thank G. the Olympics starts in a few days......................................... |
