#1 Posted: 7/9/2012 7:28:29 PM How bad do the Nucks need this guy!!
If we snag him it's going to be an awesome pick up.. The character, size, grittyness.. I could care less about the points we just need a guy like this!! We've needed a guy like this for years and years..
 C'mon make it happen!!

#2 Posted: 7/10/2012 12:18:18 AM Agree, didn't realize how good he can be in post season
Want the Habs to take run at him, But once you guys dump Lou off on someone that should give you enough cap space
gl hope one of us land him
just keep enough cash to resign Burrows next season, he's 2 mil now will need 5 plus to resign him prolly |

should have never moved there in the first place. I hope they DO move to a true hockey market like Quebec City. now that Winnipeg got their team back it would be nice IF "Ville de Quebec" did too. |

#7 Posted: 7/10/2012 2:36:03 PM Hey WML just saying once Burrows hits FA he will get a sizable raise, 30 goal scorer with sandpaper, 5 mil for Hemsky, 4.5 for a 40 year old Jagr ? 5 mil for him will be pretty close

I never didn't agree he could get 5m somewhere.. I'm saying the Canucks won't pay him 5m!! So if he wants to stay it'll be 3.5 or less is my prediction.. You guys are right he could get 5m anywhere else.

#9 Posted: 7/10/2012 3:35:58 PM Think about this too.. If the Canucks sign Shane Doan somehow and put him with the Sedins, that will bump Burrows down the lineup (he would probably still play with them but AV would move them up and down the lineup).. He might have a bit 'less production' next season inwhich would drop his raise a little.. Lets face it he's getting those points because of the Sedins (for the most part).. That's not to say he is worth 5m and is a solid hell of a player.. Just saying I think he would take the 3.5m to stay on a contender.. If he's happy still in a year.. That's my take. It really all depends how the year goes in reality. |

#12 Posted: 7/10/2012 7:43:55 PM Cool dude, would like to see Nash there and Lou involved in that swap but Lou has his sights on FLA, so hopefully they can send Lou there to free up the cap space needed for Nash or Doan.
I would go Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Booth-Kesler-Nash or swap the 2
Van is close, not saying they beat LA but with a healthy Sedin it would be close and now add Nash or Doan...just saying bro |

#13 Posted: 7/25/2012 2:24:59 PM Now poor poor desperate doaner saying the yotes have until this friday for jamison to get the deal done or he'll take his skates elsewhere. Put the gun down soldier, the war is over! The only one that doesn't see it is you. Jamison has no money, there are no "secret"investors. Heck, even the folks of Glenfail want you out. I love all the bullshit claims that he's visiting Montreal. Ya right. Who do you have in Montreal doaner? An old girlfriend?

#14 Posted: 7/25/2012 3:14:48 PM You have to admire his loyalty to the franchise. Though it may be a little 'nieve' of him to wait around and hope, at least he's not just friggin off easily like some players do. He actually cares - we need a guy like that on the Nucks!! C'mon Doan think Vancity! |

#15 Posted: 7/28/2012 3:28:04 PM Considering Gillis is a bum and a goof at playoff trade deadline deals, and most draft picks,I hope to god Doan does come to Bc.
He was a star for the Blazers and would be more than welcome.
Then get a winger for the sedins with Lobongos usless behind..

Actually Carey Price is his cousin, but seriously darn Doan, he's far from a top tier forward, and at the end of the day he's 35 and looking for multi-year deal for more than he's worth. |

#18 Posted: 7/29/2012 9:24:27 PM Now Jamison and the 76 other investors are 20 mil short of the NHL asking price of 170 mil. Really?? After buying this clown outfit for 140, the mob even want to make a profit. But hey, as long as you turn down the Cdn investor that offered 220 mil. Does this make sense to anyone? Oh yeah Jim Balsille wasn't the right type of guy for the league. They want Bruce Mcnall and Boots del Baggio types (fraudsters) |

What are you talking about? Is that a good or bad deal to you? You make no sense.. Because 3m a year for Burrows would be a f'kin steal.. |

Precisely. Which makes someone who thinks he's going to sign for that much ignorant. |

#22 Posted: 7/31/2012 3:47:45 PM Like I said in a previous post, it depends what happens this year. if they make a deep run I can see him staying for 3-4 million. Could he get 5m somewhere else? Yes. Would he want to stay? Who knows????? Why would he want to stay? Maybe he likes it here and it's a good team. It's not ignorant to think a player will stay for less money. It's a judgement of the character of the player.
It's actually ignorant of you to think that he won't sign for that or around that. |

#23 Posted: 8/1/2012 11:10:02 AM Doan likes it in the desert..... Why would he want to go to a market like vancouver...Vancity is too hard on players...I hope the Nucks land him but not likely... |

#24 Posted: 8/6/2012 10:07:20 PM So as of Aug 6. Doan's #1 place is the desert. this is only if the team is still in the desert. #2 is Rangers. #3 pens. and then Vancouver but Van city fans are still in the running. If the Nucks can't land Doan then they will make a push for Jason Arnott..If they can't land him then we are still in for a great season and a shitty post season..
