Nothing like locking up a great player that will actually still be in their prime when the contract is up.  All to often, players fall of the table before contracts this long expire.  He'll only be 30.

Woah, Ottawa is making a push for Nash now too. Rumors are buzzing in ottawa tonight that we offered Zibanejad, Foligno, and Bishop in a trade for Nash. Dunno if any draft picks were involved but i would be too happy if we landed him too. It's a long shot, and I don't expect him to come, but it's nice to know were trying to make something happen with our team!!

I saw those three names on NHL Tonight last night... Came in late on it, but maybe that's what they were saying...?

 

Ottawa was 3rd highest scoring team last year...?.... Surprised...

Ya I would imagine. Look's like old Murry is trying to see a Stanley cup appearance again in the near future, and to be honest if we acquired Nash it would look a lot more likely.  Let's go from 3rd to 1st

Based off what the Jackets wanted from New York that offer from Ottawa isnt close.
