I truly cannot believe I just lost 1k today. I typically would never bet so much but the value on that clippers money line was just too tempting to pass up and was no doubt a good play.
For those of you that did not see the ending it was pretty harsh. With 90 secs left and clippers down 3 Paul pierce failed to box out on a routine missed free throw (the ball came right to his position) he just did not strongly box out and was beat to the ball, This of course led to a 3 by Portland stretching the lead to 6 inside of a minute. Bad spot to be in just because of one mental lapse and a lack of effort from a veteran and possible HOFer. Inexcusable in an elimination game. Thanks to some big shots and some timely stops the clippers were able to tie it up with 32 seconds left and Portland ball. A great position because you are practically guaranteed the last shot if you play for it. So the Clips got low and played phenomenal defense and forced up a tough shot (after a blatant travel) only to be whistled for a foul on the rebound that sent Plumlee to the line in a tie game with seconds remaining. This whistle came from the same official that had made several other Portland leaning calls down the stretch but this call in particular was criminal, felonious honestly and it should have been overruled somehow by the other refs. That call cannot be made in that situation and the other refs knew it. Plumlee makes both free throws and then inexplicably with 17 seconds left and no timeouts, Crawford (who I like a lot) nonchalantly brings the ball up and doesn't start the attack until about 4 seconds left!! Needless to say he missed the shot and there was not enough time to get a decent shot. Had the accounts
