Hi there,
My first thread! It will be about the IND v. NYK game!
Indiana has a very good defense when they are playing @ home. I thought that the Knicks defensive efficiency was not really good but in fact, they are pretty good too.
About rebounds, the Pacers have an advantage: they won 75% of their defensive rebounds (80% when they played against the Knicks) so the opponent just have 25% of offensive rebounds (20% for the Knicks if they don't change their game). @ home, the Pacers made 6.75 blocks/game and 8.33 against the Knicks during the PO (4 blocks for the Knicks during the PO). But, NYK made more steals: 8 v. 7.
But, when we talk about Indiana offensive efficiency, it's not that good... The Knicks have better FG-3P-FT efficiencies:
NYK: FG%=47% 3P%=41% FT% = 79%
IND: FG%=38% 3P%=30% FT% = 75%
The pacers made a lot more turnovers during the PO: 15 per game (8/game for NYK).
The pace will probably be low: 90 possessions against 93 => We can think about picking Under.
So, I think that NYK is a better team than IND. I picked NYK +4.5 and I think I'll also pick NYK in ML.
