#1 Posted: 7/5/2012 10:05:42 PM Obviously Nash is not known for his defense and has trouble on that end. However, he is also next to impossible to stop in the pick and roll with a guy like Gasol. It will be an interesting dynamic this season for the Lakers..Kobe being an isolation player, how will he handle watching pick and roll after pick and roll?.. This Lakers team will give up a lot more points and also score a lot more points..Where does this leave the Lakeshow? Probably still the third best team in the West..Much more exciting team to watch with the ball movement you get with Nash though..

#2 Posted: 7/5/2012 11:59:29 PM Kobe won't play like he did last season. IMO he played the way he did because in his mind he knew Lakers couldn't really go deep in the po's w/ out bench, pg & adjusting to Browns system. So he took every game as target practice it seems.
I expect Kobe to play more unselfish basketball. They didn't get Nash so he can continue iso's all season. He wouldn't be dumb enough to not utilize the strength of a point guard like Nash, especially at this stage of his career and with Miami still stacked w/ the Big 3. I see him adjusting to Nash and using him to his advantage.
If LA can address their bench and find their new identity w/ Nash running the offense in Browns system i think they are capable of WCF if not the NBA Finals. But they have a lot of work to do.

#3 Posted: 7/6/2012 12:04:56 AM Sure Nash isn't known for defense, but then again with Bynum protecting the paint, that'll make up for his deficiencies. And in crunch time, you know Nash is likely playing the other team's off player switching with Metta.
Offense with Nash is going to be sweet. If he make relatively unknown players in PHO look that good, wait till what he does with the current Lakers. I expect a lot of career high numbers from some of these guys.
Should be an interesting upcoming season for the Lakers. |

All true.
Upgrading the point from Sessions to Nash is like trading in a Dodge Dart for a Bently. |

#5 Posted: 7/6/2012 12:45:18 AM Nash turned gortat into an all star with pick n roll (15.4 ppg, 10.0 rpg in 32 min/g, better than roy hibbert).... Imagine what he can do with gasol and bynum! all kobe has to do is shut the darn up and stay out of the way..... |

#6 Posted: 7/6/2012 11:28:24 AM I hate the Lakers, but I can't wait to see them play. Nash sucks on defense, but he more than makes up for it on the other end. He's got to be licking his chops. |

#7 Posted: 7/6/2012 12:07:02 PM I like the upgrade by LaLakers because it gives Miami and OKC more competition.
Rumors has that Indiana want to get JHarden. Could mess up the whole OKC lineup....

Harden has a beard to show people he's a man, when deep inside he's just a 12 y/o girl who just wants to play with his barbies. fool didn't even try to score in the Finals.

#9 Posted: 7/9/2012 10:20:52 AM Oh, and I'm a huge Nash fan. Forget his defensive liabilities. He's simply so much fun to watch. Basketball is much better when both teams are scoring. Not so fun to watch overly defensive games like Mia vs Bos, especially when the total is a fuckin 172, and they still can't get over that total. |
