#7 Posted: 7/4/2012 9:33:39 PM the Lakers team have been playing together for so long. Not a good idea to disrupt the lineup especially when Nash can come in and orchestrate it.

#8 Posted: 7/4/2012 9:33:40 PM Peace is a bum, and Gasol is soft and Bynum is a drama queen, darn his bullshit antics. Lets move Peace and Bynum for Howard and sign Grant Hill.
Howard Gasol Hill Bryant Nash

He lead the NBA in assists last year at age 37..oldest player in NBA history to accomplish that.. his ppg was only 2 points less than his career avg. last year..he is not the average washed up vet. you seem to think he his..he has always been a defensive liability but everything else he brings to the table more than makes up for his defense.. |

Just look at what he made with the Suns the last few years. A team of scrubs that looked WAY better than they were, all in due part because of him.

I agree, it's going to be hard for them to keep up with the young high scoring teams like OKC, Mem, n Clips. |

He almost lead last year's Suns to the playoffs which is laughable...he should have left Phoenix two years ago.. |

do not underestimate Steve Nash @ this stage of his career. He is one of the fittest and healthiest players in the league today. You do not need to be athletic, young and strong to execute the pick & roll. He is one of, if not, the best P&R point guard in the league today. his Adeptness in orchestrating the offense will compensate for any insufficiencies in his defensive skills - LA team defense can balance this out regardless. Nash will prove to be a HUGE acquisition for LA.

I've always believed the most important position in any team is the Point Guard. And when you have one as smart, skilled, experienced and seasoned as Nash that is only going to make your team better.

Nash has never really been much of an asset defensively in any point in his career. But he still puts LOTS of pressure on the defense of opposing teams with his season offense...Nash has a high basketball IQ that will make up for his age.

#24 Posted: 7/5/2012 11:26:52 AM Last season, the Lakers were the 2nd worse team in all of basketball at the point guard position in terms of points per game and assists per game...
Nash was 2nd in the league in assists per game..
So not only have the Lakers plugged a major hole at the point postion, but now have made it one of the greatest strengths in the NBA....
Remember, Nash played last season without a decent shooting guard all season, yet he still finished 2nd in the league in assists per game.....
To take a team to the brink of the playoffs with very average players like Dudley and Lopez, speaks volumes about him...
Scary what will do at the Lakers....
In terms of vets, they will be the celtics of the West, but with alot more, alot more fire power... |

#25 Posted: 7/5/2012 11:57:04 AM Should be a very interesting addition no doubt. However I feel the Lakers gave up way too much for Nash though with 2 first rounders and two second rounders in the next few years. |
