Tony has become the driving force of the Spurs this year and has been playing out of his mind. He averaged 7.7 assists throughout the regular season on 32 minutes per game. He played 37 minutes and recorded 8 assists in game 1.
Here are a couple of reasons why I like Tony's assist number to increase tonight:
-I think that the Jazz make a game of it tonight and make the Spurs work for 48 minutes to beat them. (A close game equals Tony seeing possibly 40 minutes instead of the 37 he got in game 1). Also, Tony will continue to be aggressive and dominate the ball as long as the game is within reach for the Jazz.
-The Spurs led the league in 3 pt shooting avg in the regular season and struggled a bit from distance in game 1. A good bit of their 3 pt attempts are the result of Tony getting in the lane, causing the defense to collapse, and then kicking it out to the wing. The Spurs shooting more along this year's average equals another opportunity or two for Tony to get an assist.
Tony Parker Over 21.5 points -130
I like this one for the same reasons I like the assist play. Tony will be the best player on the court tonight and I think he will prove that once again. The Spurs are at their best when Tony is dominating the ball and being aggressive.
Leans on regular plays tonight:
Utah +11.5
Orlando +3 and Over 183.5
Grizzlies ML
Not sure if I will play all of these or none of these yet. I may have a prop play on the late game also depending on how the Parker plays turn out.

-I like Rudy's matchup with Nick Young tonight since Caron is out.
-The Grizzlies got off to a fast start in Game 1 which led to Rudy getting more rest than he usually would. Rudy sat for an 8 minute stretch in the first half. He should only sit for 5-6 minutes when the game is tight.
-5 of Rudy's 8 baskets, from game 1, were from 10 ft and closer. Size is important when you are a mid-range scorer and he should have an easier time getting position on Nick Young than he would on a stronger player in Butler.

i agree with the assts over 7.5. the jazz will try to hard show and trap him on screen and roll and try to make him give up the ball but i agree he is clearly the spurs best player and utah has absolutely answer 4 the frenchman my book just has the pt total 21.5 for him not the assts but im rootin u in my friend

Tony P is my favorite player. The over 21.5 points----at -130 I don't think that has a lot of value. He doesn't need to go over 22 for them to win.
But HAMMER over 7.5 assits. He could have EASILY finished with 12 assits if it wasn't for missed layups and a few missed open 3's.
I wish I had props on my book I would be that for sure.
I disagree about there not being value with the points prop but I do agree that the assist prop has the most value. I'm on the assist prop for 2.5x the amount for the other 2.

Yeah with the points----the Spurs tend to take turns. Ginobili only had 9 points in game one, this could be his game to shine. BOL though

I have a prop assist/rebounds o/u 11.5 He should easily cover the over.

I think we will be alright on the assists play. Utah not showing up has killed my play on his points total though. The assists play was the bigger one though so I can live with that. This is the playoffs so I think that Tony will still play atleast 12-15 minutes in the second half. Hopefully, Utah comes out strong.

espn.com game cast has parker with 8 assts rite now
Yeah looks line I missed one. Now if Tony could get a quick 4 points! He would have it with no problem if the jazz would have shown up tonight. He will probably sit the whole 4th quarter though.

Tony Parker unlikely to play an of the fourth quarter will need him to get his 4 more points here i feel. Can't see the need for him to come in the 4th he has done his job.
Spurs aren't a joke like Memphis so be a tough one to get the points for Parker but wishing you luck

Tony started out slow going 1-5 and missing a few open 10-15 footers also. Could have had the bet won without him playing the fourth if he hits 2 of those.
