I like greek salads personally...

I made an asian chicken salad recently that was great...

romaine lettuce
nappa cabbage
julienned carrots
chopped red pepper
sliced almonds (toasted)
thai basil and or mint
chicken (shredded a rotisserie chicken from new seasons... way less salty then anywhere else)

dressing :
rice vinegar
soy sauce
oil
roasted sesame seeds

I make this about 4 times a year...

I'm on board except for the sprouts.  And throw some minced garlic in that dressing.

And there is nothing better than some nuts to go along with the cheese.

Olives?

Foul. I'll eat them only from a martini drenched with vodka.

Romaine lettuce
cherry tomatoes
cucumbers chopped in quarters
shredded carrots
croutons
feta cheese
Newmans own lite balsamic

I don't know if it's perfect, but that's what I usually do at home.

Olives or I won't eat it.

Soo missing the boat if don't put olives in the salad.

Ties in with the olive oil.

A salad is not supposed to be a casserole.  It's a salad.

You guys are losing it.........

Salads are not supposed to be house enchiladas.

Salads are designed to cleanse the pallette.
