why not nuts instead of wheat thins?
Yeah, years ago my sandwich at Subway was the cold cut combo. As far as the wheat thins, I'm just not a fan of nuts and wheat thins don't have that many carbs. I don't mind eating some carbs because I work out anyway.
Now if I could slow down on the beer on the weekends I'd be money, but that is not happening. |

that was it, the cold cut combo. cost like 5 bucks and was money. probably took a couple years off my life though.
alcohol is a tough one to cut out. you only live once. wine and tequila (not necessarily together)- both gluten free.

#29 Posted: 1/26/2012 5:52:22 PM Been trying to cut the carbs for a long time, I still slip up once in a while. It's a work in progress.
Ditched cereals, bread and pastas except when I go to my dads house for dinner on sundays depending on whats on the menu but I try to limit it.
Gluten free chocolate cookies I get from whole food are awesome for a treat once in a while but too much sugar.
Can't get away from potatoes every so often.
Hunger pangs go away with a handful of almonds and a bottle of water.

just a lot of carbs and whole grain is way overrated. basically, cereal isn't doing you any good.

#34 Posted: 1/29/2012 4:01:53 AM you should try do the opposite... eat what ever during the day and diet at night... if you limit your cals during the day you might end up hungry at night...
I agree that cereal is not great for you, but because it is fortified it is more nutritious then eating celery sticks and popcorn...
subway is not optimal, but in terms of fast food options I think is a better choice... I have never tried them, but dont they make like low carb flat bread subs?

#36 Posted: 1/30/2012 1:35:28 PM JsVdb, try a low carb(fruits and veggies), high fat, moderate protein (prob high protein with ur work out regiment) and see how it goes. Stop the pizza, pasta, grains. Instead animal, fruit, veggies, nuts.... eggs eggs eggs, with the yolk.
Give it a few months. Cheap and easy too. |

If it makes you feel better, every meat in the cold cut combo is turkey based. I work at a college who has a Subway located in it that I have to help sometime.
