What is a list of protein that you can eat for meals and carbs to avoid.

I eat Raisan Bran in the morning is that a no no. What about milk?

I am looking to radically change my diet to take out the carbs and sugar and put in the protein and everything.

Can anyone give me a list of things to eat and things to avoid. I am basically looking to lose the gut aka stomach. I dont drink at all so that helps. I also drink a lot of water and don't drink any soda. Any help would be appreciated. I am looking for what to eat in the morning and dinner some snacks to eat during the day.

don't eat raisin bran.  just don't do it.  try eggs and ham.  try a smoothie with frozen berries and whey protein powder.  those are really the only two things i'd eat for breakfast although there may be some oher good options.  but if you are eating cereal for breakfast, whether fruit loops or some whole grain or bran cereal, you aren't trying to lose weight.

Grilled pork chops, hamburger without the bun, tuna, grilled chicken, eggs, lean turkey, green beans.  That pretty much covers everything I eat Mon - Thu..

My breakfast and lunch isn't perfect but here it is:

Banana, Special K meal replacement bar

snack - hard boiled egg

Lunch - One week is tuna the other is lean turkey both of which is on wheat bread, light mayo, and 2% cheese.  And a handfull of wheat thins

snack - hard boiled egg

dinner/supper - Taco salad, hamburger without bun along with sour kraut or green beans, pork chop with kraut or beans, every once in a while cottage cheese.  Sometimes grilled chicken wraps.

I eat no fast food unless it is a Subway tuna sandwich.  Haven't drank a pop/soda in over 3 years.

i'm not sure what's in that special k meal replacement bar but i bet it's crap.  if you want to eat that kind of thing, there are much better options at your local health food store.

i don't know why people eat reduced fat mayo, cheese, etc.  they have full fat mayop with good ingredients.  otherwise, when they take the fat out, they put garbage in to make up for it.  fat = good.  garbage they put in to substitute for the fat = bad.

why are you eating wheat thins?

dinner looks good.

i wouldn't go near a subway.  i'd eat something off the ground in the new york subway before i ate something at a subway sandwich shop.

I only eat Subway when we travel back to Kansas about twice a year.

The meal replacement bar is a proteing bar.  10g protein and 5g fiber.  It's is mainly something that isn't jammed with calories that can contain my sweet tooth for a day.

Wheat thins are just something to eat with a sandwich really.  Probably better options but not a bad chip.

Like I said, my diet isn't perfect by any means, but with my workouts it keeps me lean and feeling good.

nobody's diet is perfect.  i know mine isn't.  i used to eat some bologna mystery meat sandwich at subway a few times a week years ago.  i'm not sure anyone really knows what that garbage is made of.

why not nuts instead of wheat thins?

Forgot mixed nuts, mostly almonds cashew and machadamian nuts, at some point in the day. Also mix in brazil nuts, hazelnuts, and peanuts from time to time.

Will do, Dirty. (Cheers)

THe real question here is, how best to hardboil an egg

theres gotta be some secret to doing them easy, fast and nice

was eating some paki soup and talking with the guy at the shop, he mentioned something about back home eating hardboiled eggs with the soup, and i was like yo whats up with the egg homie, and he was like here you go bro, two warm HBE's, for the win

i've heard the tips
use aged eggs
some salt in the water
flash rinse in icy water when done boiling

but i don't have it down to a science like that paki dude

ditch the spaghetti for spagheti squash with meatballs, can use a nice fatty oil instead of tomato sauce if you want

subway subs are terrible. if you must, grab the tuna salad with O/V

The whole key to eating right is to smash a big friggin breakfast out the park

this morning i made

5 strips bacon
green peppers
onions
sausage
ham steak
tomatoes
4 eggs

lil bit of cheeze on top and some homemade hot sauce

haven't eaten anything since except two little spoons of almond butter, and not hungry a lick

i labor for a living, came home walked the dog 3 miles, dicked around out back because is was nice, so it's not like i wasn't doing anything

Get full with fat early on and are good for the day

I'm not too concerned about dinner...about a year or so ago i lost like 15 pounds or so...and i was still eating the same dinners just i REALLY cut out the eating at night. When i did eat it was just like celary, carrots and like bread sticks

I'm just the opposite.  I could eat a huge meal or a tiny meal for breakfast and in 3 hours time I'm hungry just the same either way.  I can skip breakfast (though I rarely do), but I can't skip lunch.

I tried to post this earlier from my mobile

But... Hungry from smoking or drinking, or just hungry?

My solution to late evening hunger is water. Chug a class or 2, poss a hand full of nuts if need be. But like Dirty said, fat. Why I recommend nuts,
