I am a meat eater, on average i eat meat 3-4 times a week so i decided that i was going to try a meat free diet for 2 weeks and see how i feel....

After 2 Weeks i can say i fee fairly good, i do however find it harder then i thought to stay away from meat. Though after painfully doing so for 9 days, i can say i have lost 3 pounds. Before starting i thought maybe i would lose 1-3, so losing 3 is a big surprise to me....I will not go more then 2.5 weeks....Why? Because 1. I believe meat is essential in maintaining a healthy life (but do think most do it to excess me including) 2.Nothing tastier then a Tbone Steak 3. I am having Christmas at my house and i am cooking and it is going to be very hard to stay away from a Ham and Turkey that i will be cooking

I will keep you guys up to date on my weight loss and my overall feeling.....

I just cut out all beef a long time ago and I've felt so much better ever since...I just stick to chicken or fish.

I am not a Huge fan of Chicken....I do however like fish a lot and that is not excluded in the meat fast......

If you suddenly feel the need to attend a Liza Minelli or Bette Midler show you might try pounding down a couple of those little White Castle burgers just until the urge subsides...

I actually have been doing the opposite. I gave up all sugar an flour products. I eat meat (grassfed), veggies, nuts, some fruit. Lost 8 lbs in about a month and didn't do any real workouts. I'm not overweight, but had been reading about Paleo/Primal eating at gave it a try.

Day 11: Lost 5.5 pounds total, feel lighter and feel healthy.....Good energy in the gym.....Now all i need to do is hit the Lotto.....

Day 12: Got very tempted today when i walked into a Chinese food store to get steamed Vegetable dumplings and seen all the pictures of different dishes and the smells......I held my ground and can say proud of it......Can't wait for Christmas when i chow down on meat again....

I always wanted to try to give up meat for like a week but have never actually committed to it. Maybe one day I will stop being such a sissy...

I think you're the first person I have ever heard speak not to fondly of chicken. I thought everyone loved chicken.
