Tupac was an east coast rapper, he jumped on the west coast gangsta tip because he needed street cred after doing the humpty hump and being a faggy performance arts high school kid.

Kurupt and Pitbull are the names you idiots think should be at the top of the list.

Covers never ceased to amaze me.

2pac was and will always be #1 i dont care what any one says...

another guy on the top of my list is mac dre (RIP) guy spit fire he was a trend setter and help put the bay area on the map... look em up if u never heard of him...

although im not a fan of east coast rap i love me some Big L (RIP) he could spit too...

funny how the best rappers die young... now we have garbage behind ppl like lil wayne trying to claim hes the best... rap nowadays is pop for the streets...

but in my opinion the best rapper out today is drake, i no im going to get hell for that, i dont necessarily like him but hes has the best flow out there today... his music actually has something that resembles substance, and he not just saying the same garbage over a different beat like a lot of guys

"he wasn't even rapping when he moved to Marin city you dumbass"

Ok dumbass..While he was studying ballet in Baltimore at a performance arts school, he was rhyming and going by the name MC New York.

A couple of years later he was a back up dancer for Digital Underground, a year or two later he's "Mr. WestCoast thug life" rapper.

He was a friggin actor playing the role of a thug and he took himself waaay to serious.

He also had a part time job as a gift "wrapper" at Macy's during the holidays.
