#16 Posted: 6/20/2010 12:10:51 PM '79? I was driving illegally all the time when it came out, that's why I thought 15. garbage, just did the math....I in fact was 15 in 1979. Thanks Henry. On June 27th, it gets another year worse.....
Life is a trip.
We all were pretty hip to that tune. Might have to "Pod" it momentarily.
Henry, where's the rest of the music crew lately. Always good to run into Gutcheck and yourself of course, but weve been missing a bunch of our regular set for awhile......
Happy Fathers Day to you and Gut in case you guys have kids. Big surprise, but I do not. Time to crack a brew and cap some games.

#18 Posted: 8/29/2010 11:16:58 PM Queen....good call Hugh....
Killer Queen
My Best Friend
Hugh, Boston and genesis (not in that order) were my first two concerts ever I went to. I think in 78 or 79. I was so good at getting away with garbage, my parents trusted me at way too early an age. they must have been nuts.....LOL
Me smoking weed before legally driving makes about as much sense as 18-19yr old kids in the military carrying M-16s in 3rd world countries shooting at other humans before they can legally drink in their home state.......
Weed should be legal, but I rarely, if ever, smoke it. Right now, a couple doc's I have tell me to go get some and apologized that they couldn't write me a script for one........My reasons are different, but for cancer people and glaucoma patients.....they really should let them use it. Wonder why they can't make it into injectible ways to take it or better yet "weed pills"....(They probably can)
My .02 and very simple opinion, but with some experience I've had involving helping my Mother's relief that would have helped immensely her discomfort (and my own minor comparitively),....along with way too many cancer victims out there it could be helping......
........Nothing is more evil than cancer or aids.....Lets just say that they are both horrible diseases that hope like Hell they help those afflicted very very soon!

HEART - Barracuda at Cal Jam 2
1978 I was there!
Remeber their first label Mushroom Records
Aerosmith- Draw the Line
Some nice slide by Joe Perry
It was a long day we showed up the night before and not sleeping much. By the time Aerosmith took the stage I was pretty burnt out. When Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush closed out the show and they did an amazing job I was glad to get out of there. But, it is a memory that will live forever |

Sammy Hagar with vocals and Ronnie Montrose laying down the guitar.
Humble Pie - I Don't Need No Doctor - 1971
Steve Marriot had a great soul rock n roll voice. To the far right is Peter Frampton playing guitar.
T - Rex - Get It On
Marc Bolan on vocals. They guy on piano looks like Elton John but, not sure. I know Elton played on the Hollies tune He Ain't Heavy He's my Brother. |

Styx - Crystal Ball
Yes - Starship Trooper
ELO- Last Train to London - many might think ELO to be a bit but I really like them- very unique for their time- as an aside, I read that their cellist from the early 70s was killed in a freak accident-
