Love threads like this that either help ya to recall or turn you on to new stuff...........

Triumph and Rush were pretty huge in the Toronto area , and I spent a lot of time in the area between age 10 to around 22 70's to early 80s.......

Thanks B-assassin.

Robin Trower - probably one of the best guitarist ever, yet he doesn't get mentioned. Too Rolling Stoned!

I saw him last year at the House of Blues, he was great.

ba - yeah, was pretty sad about Erickson but see he's been back & playin again for awhile now. Had a cool kinda voice & very talented. Remember now the Gibbons was in the Moving Sidewalks, not Elevators but him & Erickson were good buds - prob still are.

Sidewalks were another of the early pschedelic groups from TX & if anybody here was around Houston in the late 60's early 70's, they prob remember a couple clubs in the Alans Landing area - Love Street Emporium (Roky got arrested there once in the middle of a set, lol) & the Cellar. Both of those groups played down there alot & was a weird, but cool scene. All kinds of edgy & psychedelic music and hard core hippies & bikers, but tons of cops around - made for some strange energy & vibes, LOL.

Unless I carelessly missed it, nobody has mentioned these guys.

Maybe because they're not underrated?

Hey Bookie, I have a Legs Diamond album I bought it the 70's. Love UFO, Montrose, Rainbow and alot of the rest. How about this band. I was at this concert and this man kicked behind. At the 3:45 mark he breaks into a Mickey Mouse riff. Too funny!

Search YouTube for Triumph US Festival.  It's from '83 and probably my favorite videos to watch of them on there.  Never saw these guys live unfortunately back in my concert going days.  A bunch of other good bands are on YouTube from the US Festival as well.
