#3 Posted: 11/6/2009 9:43:16 AM Will it be Roger Waters or Pink Floyd. Water tours regularly, so that wouldn't surprise me one bit. Now if it's Pink Floyd then I'm shocked and stunned.

#4 Posted: 11/6/2009 1:39:50 PM I'd take Waters again in a heartbeat..........which it would most likely be. He brings a great band with him.
Not much left of Pink Floyd.............& what's left aint gonna be around much longer (as far as touring anyway). I welcome any chance to see one of the greats perform live. Just hoping that A) If this tour does happen that they get within 3 states of me, & B) That Roger, David, & Nick can put the past behind them & reunite for what would be a stellar encore to their careers.

#5 Posted: 11/6/2009 2:02:06 PM I saw Roger Waters 2-3 years ago in Denmark when he toured with a set consisting of "hits" in part one of the concert, and the second part was the full set of "Dark side of the moon".
It was a wonderful experience. His can not really cope so well with the high tunes in some of the songs, but the band is great, the imagery, the effects and everything is as it would be in a pink floyd concert.
Ofcourse it is not Pink Floyd, like Depeche2 said that would be something, but it will never happen again, atleast not as a tour.
However i am sure it will be a great concert experience and i will go see it if i get the chance.
"
Just a quick note to share with you that Roger Water's manager has confirmed to NPF that "Roger
is considering touring The Wall in 2010 and 2011. It’s obviously early
days but we will keep you posted when we have more concrete news for
you." So there you have it! In addition to Roger doing The Wall live, there is also a Broadway show" |

#9 Posted: 11/11/2009 5:54:41 PM I love both Waters and Gilmour for their differences......
Even if it's just Waters, who cares. He's a God.
(and I've never seen him live)
I have so much stuff by him, collaberations and such not for sale stuff .....on my Ipod.....Cool garbage, him and Lennon, among many others......

#10 Posted: 11/12/2009 10:46:44 AM LOL, yeah, you may want to delay that about 5-6 months if possible dennis.
Like I said, I'll take any kind of PF I can get. I've never seen Gilmour's PF except in videos, but some people I spoke with at the RW concerts said they prefer RW's version. I'd like the chance to judge that for myself. They're both gods (no offense to Nick & Rick (R.I.P.) ).
I guess this is my reaction to my pre-midlife crisis era............see as many classic rock performances as possible before there are no more to see. |

Nice news Mugg. Looking forward to the Wall tour. The timing of this announcement amuses me. How about you WSC? You going to file a lawsuit to try and stop the Wall tour?

I'm almost certain it's Roger Waters alone.
Mugg, you recall awhile back when I mentioned that I noticed a poll on the Pink Floyd site and asked the populus if Roger Waters was performing out of this country (or hemisphere), would us in the U.S. attend overseas?
Well, that was 1-2 months ago, and now this coincidental announcement........I surmised it would happen, and now it appears to be true.
I have it saved, but if they made that announcement and Mugg saw it, they've most likely taken the poll down and liked what they saw.

I won't miss it.

#17 Posted: 4/1/2010 1:06:03 PM DHop & others...........got a tidbit of news about this tour
Roger Waters 2010-2011 Tour News It's becoming clear that the 50+ dates that we reported a few weeks ago are North American dates only. It seems that the original idea of 8 cities with multiple dates has been scrapped and that this part of the tour will be a 50+ arena show. Information about the UK, Europe and other parts of the world is scant and we have very little information about that, it seems pretty obvious that this will not happen until 2011. The North American leg looks like kicking off in mid September, going through to mid December with rehearsals starting sometime in August. We have been contacted by a number of sources throughout North America with venues & dates but will not publish this information until it's officially confirmed by Roger's Management.
Got that off of the "Fleeting Glimpse" website.............can't wait |

#20 Posted: 4/12/2010 8:00:41 PM LOL, I'm just a fanatic.........going thru a mid-life crisis a little early as I try to catch all the bands from our generation just one last time.
Got tix to see Blue Oyster Cult (for like the 5th time) in June @ a small casino......they were only $30/each so WTF.
I guess tix for these shows (The Wall) go on sale either May 3rd or May 10th..........stay tuned.....

Sep. 20 and 21 in my calendar now. Not thrilled Monday/Tuesday though. And then there's Nov. 26 at MGM...hmmm....that's my birthday...day after thanksgiving....I could get it comped at MGM. So tempting.

#22 Posted: 4/12/2010 10:30:39 PM Depeche..............if you go to either of the Chicago dates you're bound to see a bunch of people with "AFG" shirts on as it was chosen as the meeting place for the web site members.
I'm considering one other venue besides the Tacoma Dome & LV is one of my choices. Have you been to any concerts at the MGM? How's the sound in there? I'm not thrilled that the Tacoma Dome was chosen for this show. The sound is nowhere near as good as in the Key Arena.

#23 Posted: 4/13/2010 4:58:29 AM I witnessed Roger Waters & the band on the Dark Side Of The Moon tour when they visited Oslo, Norway. And what a performance/show it was. I have watched The Wall Live In Berlin DVD multiple times and I also own the 1980 recording on CD of course. I am so friggin excited over these news!! Finally I get to see this live!!! I hope he comes to Norway, or at least europe. I am willing to travel alongside these shows and see them all over europe. At least twice or three times. Halleluja!!
