#3 Posted: 5/27/2009 8:41:36 PM great show. Saw them twice in 3 days at the Olympic stadium in Sydney a couple of years ago. Amazing. (Middle night was Pearl Jam supported by Kings of Leon). Seen them close to 10 times in various places, and in stadiums and areans. Never disappoint

Completely agreed. His ego mkes Earth look small.
My first year in college, I brought U2 Boy and October into a group that loved the Clash, Echo and the Bunnymen, etc....great 80s garbage.
Anyway, Bono is a hardon selfserving butt wipe with ears.
Someone show me what cash he has contributed to his photo opportunity cuases.
I'd love to see it.
darn U2 since "Achtung Baby"
Bunch of sell out hypocrite lying sack of garbage fake philanthropists.
(did I leave anything out?)

#7 Posted: 6/18/2009 1:17:37 PM Sorry to say but since U2 became Americanized they became very wealthy, their music has gone in the toilet, yet the people buy their garbage anyway, and they could give a garbage about their fans.
Their band is ALL about promotion and selling. How many versions of the same song can they sell their fans. You can pay $39.99 for a new cd/dvd but you already have every song/same version except one. Is that song worth the price? U2 had a contest about naming their new cd and my title was "Sell Outs", not because they sold out their concerts but because they did something they swore didn't matter to them, they became mainstreem, and sold out their long standing fans Their new music can't even be compared to their old stuff...not even close.
I remember my 1st U2 concert at the Paradise Theater in Boston and later in life I've attended 12 more.
Sadly, if you walked up to me and handed me tickets today I'd politely hand them back to you cause I'll be busy that night.
Lastly, cause I'm bitching, U2 used September 11th to their advantage. They were the heroes who came to the rescue!! Problem is they aren't from NY, they aren't from the US!!! I became a Bon Jovi supporter since then. |

That's pretty harsh....but I can't say I disagree.

#13 Posted: 9/19/2009 12:02:30 AM passed on Sunday and Monday concerts even though I had free tickets to both shows. My friend who offered them to me thought he'd surprise me because he knows I like them (their old stuff). The expression on his face was priceless when I told him.."I'll pass". |

#14 Posted: 9/21/2009 11:50:33 AM My friends went to the concert last night at Gillette. 2 car loads started their adventure after the Pats lost to the Jets. One car left from the Boston area and went through Boston, down 93 to 95 and to Rt 1. They left at 4:30 and arrived in their seats at 10:05, missing half the show. Beers were a measely $8.50 and coffee $5. But what the hell thats peanuts compared to the ticket price, right? They arrived home at 4:00am. Wow in essense they traveled 80 miles round trip in 9.5 hours to see a poor performance, lots of echo.
If someone reads this because they're going tonight I recommend going 495 to route 1. That's the route my other friends took and didn't hit any traffic and they travelled from NH. |

5.5 hours to go 40 miles? So they averaged less than 8 miles per hour. Holy garbage.

#17 Posted: 10/30/2009 7:15:23 AM U2's music post-1990 was pure crap. Up until the late 1980s, U2 put out some of the best and most original music of our lifetime. |
