#1 Posted: 10/16/2010 10:37:57 AM Hello This is Craig. I may be taking my 8 year old Quarterback son to
Las Vegas because they asked him if he could come to Quarterback Academy
Off Season QB Camp at UNLV Stadium from Dec 10-12. I am thinking of
flying Dec 9th and come back Dec 13th. I found the cheapest airfare
round from from Hartford CT to LV for 289
Do you know any one or sites I could get cheaper airfare tickets for me and my son?
Also I checked the hotel and I am looking to spend under 55 a nights which I found below:
Sahara Hotal and Casino Las Vegas 32 a night
Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino 51 a night
Stratosphere Casino Hotel and Tower 38 a night
Excalibur 47 a night
What one do you suggest for us to stay?
Also here is the site about my 8 year old QB son www.DaronQB.blogspot.com He also got invited to 2011 QB Youth Dreammaker Final Tour in the late Spring in California!
Looking forward hearing your inputs. Many thanks for your help again!

#3 Posted: 10/16/2010 11:04:13 AM The Sahara is a dump. I wouldnt stay there. The Strat is way North of the strip and UNLV. RIO is off the strip but you'll get a much bigger room and thats a great rate for the Rio. Excalibur isnt that nice But Its closer to UNLV and the kid may like the Castle theme. If its simply about the room Id go with the Rio for that price. hope this helps

#5 Posted: 10/16/2010 11:06:37 AM I just noticed you said at UNLV stadium, which is Sam Boyd Stadium which is far from the strip and all the Hotels so nevermind what I said about the Excalibur. go with The Rio

Yes He is 8 and is a starting QB playing against 9-10-11 years old teams... You can say anything you want... Im just lucky he is my son and god bless him.. Never play football in my life only basketball and baseball.. My son hates baseball but likes basketball as his second fav so I let him do what he wants. I am not here to argue. Thanks Just remember his name when he gets older... His goal is to get college football scholarship when he goes to college thats all I am going to be proud of!

#12 Posted: 10/16/2010 11:35:06 AM Craig, fyi, UNLV isnt that far from the strip, however still not walking distance, youll have to cab it or rent a car but, the Stadium is Not on campus, it is further away on the east side of the valley so anywhere you stay will be far from the Stadium.

#13 Posted: 10/16/2010 11:35:16 AM 12 years from now I hope he is in college so you can provide us with some real "insider info".
I say Excalibur personally. I grew up poor and never really stayed anywhere nice. My room was clean, modern, and affordable for my first trip to Vegas a couple years ago. |

#14 Posted: 10/16/2010 11:37:12 AM Another guy who will push his kid from a young age to get a college scholarship. The chances of this happening is very slim. Save the money now, and don't go to all these camps and what not. Save money for him actually attending colleges for educational purposes. |

#18 Posted: 10/16/2010 11:45:36 AM I did look at the blog. Your kids 8, I'm sure he is athletic and has a bright fututre. But, he can barely grip a football yet. Why spend all this money now when he is only 8? |

#22 Posted: 10/16/2010 11:48:45 AM i can go on and on but wont, this is my last post. You pay a guy to be his QB coach behind your back he is probably laughing to the bank. HE is 8 yrs old, what are they studying film of the zone biltz or 2 deep coverage the other 9-10 yr old teams are playing??
seriously, half the kids on D are running around with like chickens with their heads cut off the others are looking in the stands...
A guy living thru his 8 yr old is all i see here. GREAT he is tearing up KNEE HI ball.. go pat him on the back n buy him an ice cream! dont worry about a college scholarship he may or may not get.
When i was younger, an idiot father had a son on the same garbage, 8-9 yr old football, the kid was quick n fast and got the pitch and ran outside for TD after TD. The parents had signs up MATT FOR HEISMAN! they even had their kid do the heisman pose in the endzone! guess what? that kid is now in college, playing 0 sports, had 0 offers. He was a role player, thats it when he got to high school. So to u POPS, relax. HE IS 8 YRS OLD.
and anything you go to say my comeback will always be this, HE IS * YRS OLD.
