Aussie, big fan of your WNBA work. Your threads are a daily read for me.
I took the Lynx ML +105 yesterday for a fairly big play. The line strikes me as more of a fake out. Minnesota was outplayed by Phoenix and should be embarrassed and motivated to treat LA like a punching bag.
The Sparks are wounded and in a tailspin worse than Minny's. The Lynx are the better team and need to start out the upcoming 3 in 4 day grind on a high note. My only worry is that Minnesota could be looking ahead to tomorrow night with their rematch against the Mercury. All of the recent press is about Minnesota's slump so you'd think they'd be motivated to come out and win a game in which they're the better team.
Los Angeles defense was pathetic. But so was Miami Heat's against San Antonio Spurs. The point is that Silver Stars had a team meeting after their loss vs Seattle and they 'miraculously' played a half of their lives in 2H vs Los Angeles.
The problem with taking 'almost full strength' Minnesota here is that Los Angeles, who are not a bad team at all, hadn't lost 3 straight games in a long long time. Until their last loss @ San Antonio the other day, that is. Seems like a pretty darn good spot to have a team meeting of their own. Teams tend to play their tails out after a few straight losses. Teams do get fed up with mediocrity. And you can be pretty damn sure this coach is getting fired pretty soon. This is her one chance to keep the job for a few more weeks.
That, plus getting a few calls to go their way to keep Beard and Ogwumike in the game, plus the propensity of teams to suck balls on the FIRST night of their back-to-backs this season... and I wouldn't be surprised if L.A. is up by 15 at halftime.

Like the way you are thinking Muggsy. The Sparks were pegged to be a title contender this year, they still got the MVP and I think they will run like energizer bunnies today, at least in the 1H, with lots of cutting and driving to the basket. The more I look at this the more I like LAS TT over 1H or ATS 1q/1h, or maybe even a parlay.

Indy +3 5 bagger I like Conn but this will be their 4th game in 6 days and are on pretty good win streak for their talent level. I think they've played over their heads a bit while also catching their competition at the right time. A week ago they got Indy who were on the 2nd of a road b2b, which for the ladies is an almost impossible situation no matter how good your team is. Fever had arguably their worst game of the season turning the ball over 25 times and committing 30 fouls, not the markings of a Linn Dunn team. Then Conn got in a running shoot em up with Phx then a home and home with NY winning them all. That's an exhausting schedule and now have to face a very well coached defensive minded team they embarrassed last week. Dunn is one of the top 2 coaches, the other being Thibault of Wash, at making adjustments once they have seen you. Facing NY twice is not good preparation for facing a vengeful Indy team. All 5 starters for Indy are starting to gel having beat Atl and Wash on the road, 2 very difficult places to play and win. I expect a heightened level of defense from the Fever against a Conn team they should simply wear down by the end of the game. This Conn team is not good enough yet to only have 1 loss in the month of June, I bet they get #2 Tuesday night at the hands of Indy.
74-63 Fever
Not to mention when Fever has played with at least 3+ days rest this year, they've covered and won SU.

Hey fellas, great stuff, plenty of people are providing their insight into the games, mostly the lynx @ sparks game. I'm going to go Sparks, waiting on further line movement. As Axion has said. The Lynx schedule has been brutal the last 10-14 days and should not be overlooked. The Sparks are last in the west and what a better way to kick start your season in the right direction by beating the lynx, a team that embarrassed you on your own court a few weeks ago. The Sparks are crazy at home over the past 2 seasons, almost as good at the Lynx record. Yes they have already lost 2 at home vs the mercury and vs the lynx but I think this will be a big statement game by the Sparks. Maya Moore has not been firing of late and as stated before, their schedule has been intense.
I also love the fact that sparks are now dogs. Vegas opened the line is fav of the sparks and money has moved that in fav of Lynx. The WNBA is nothing like the other American sports but remember what happened when the Fever opened up as dogs at Sky opening game? The line moved so that the Fever were favs and then the Sky actually won that game and covered the initial line. Gotta go with my initial instinct, going to go sparks after some more line movement.
GL Wagers on Fever. Hopefully they can clamp down on Sun.

What a crappy game from Brazil. Scolari is an idiot for not playing somebody like Villian earlier. The Mexican bus arrived to the last stop intact. But the Belgians came through. Now, let's hope the last game will also be a stinker.

I'm going to pop 3 bags on Con TT under 75 too, Atl barely capped this total in Atl vs. Indy and they are a far superior offensive team that Indy held in check...I don't think Conn will be blessed with 25 turnovers and 30 fouls by Indy again today

I don't see how we don't take the over in the late game. Two powerhouse teams, albeit bit with the injury bug, desperately needing a win = points to me especially coming off last meeting under and several unders against other opponents. I think it's waaay to early in the season to fix your losing slumps with defense, normally this time of year when you win you win big by scoring. Minn has shown a weakness in defense and so has LA so I expect a decent pace and late scoring as neither team should shut it down and take the loss as pride should drive these two at this point and push to exploit defensive deficiencies.
over 79 1H, over 158 and LA TT over 79 all 3 baggers

Agree Wagers. I think im going to play the over as well instead of Sparks ATS. I think both teams can hit 80 in this match and if you look back at this year and last, when the Lynx are kept below 80 points in their last game, the following game they explode hitting 85 points each game apart from 1 (vs Storm).

Not going to go against the Lynx when it comes to ATS. I will take the over instead. Both teams needing a win big time, the Lynx were only kept to 72 points vs the Mercury and if you look back at this season and last season, check out what they hit in the following game after being kept below 80. It something like 88 points apart from one game which they only hit 69 but that was against the Storm last season in a double-header vs the Storm. I think we see something like 78-78 at some stage in this game and forcing the over with some ending F'T/s and eventually clocking over 158.5. I think we see around 163-167 points in this game.

If the Lynx lose today vs the Sparks, I will be on Lynx tomorrow vs the Mercury. Fading a home team after a long road trip (5 games) is always a good way of capping especially seeing that the line is a little suss. Only -3.5 against a team they just beat by 8 points is very strange IMO

Well, got the FIFA under so a good there, but WNBA started off not so good. I was crazy to bet over in the game. Unless there will be an OT it should not work. Indy looks pretty bad on offense. Maybe January needs to get "injured" again so that Coleman and Z wake up and start f.cking scoring.
