My book has the futures lines up:

Lynx -180
Sun +320
Sparks +592
Fever +2185
Dream +2727

--

Teams I think have a shot...

Lynx, Sparks, Dream

Sparks should end up meeting the Lynx in the conference finals...
If they can get by the Lynx, the +592 will provide a ton of value in the finals.

On the other side, the Atlanta Dream have been playing some GOOD basketball lately. Very aggressive defensively and a potent fast break offense and defense to go along with that.

What are you guys thoughts?

If your looking for value ( Dream )
If your making a significant wager----No Brainer ( LYNX )

Cheers 44 -- I was thinking along the same lines

I see value in the Sparks too.

I think the Lynx get by on WAY to many made jumpers -- their offense can become very stagnant and I think the way the Sparks are playing that they may be able to provide an upset.

I've gone ahead and laid $75 on the Sparks to win the Championship.

Pays out $407.25

I hope the Sparks sneak by the Silverstars and then can catch the Lynx off guard in game 1.

Lynx will be playing a weird style of play from Seattle, and maybe if I'm extra lucky, Seattle will beat the Lynx.

On the other side of the draw...I hate how the Dream have so much value -- makes me think that the books know Indiana will knock them out first round.

Both the Dream & Fever's odds have dropped tremendously..+1430 and +1858 respectively.

Dreams odds are actually lower than the Fever's odds, does this mean the Dream will beat the Fever in round one?

Fever are favored...

hmm the tricks the bookies play.....

If anyone will knock out Minnesota, it's San Antonio. Look at their HU games last two seasons.

SA also has the best chance to take care of LA, the Sparks lost reg.season series to just one team this year.... Silver Stars.

And if you tell me that reg.season means nothing, I will A) laugh in your face and B) point to Atlanta who owned both Indiana and Connecticut for three years now, both in reg.season and post season.

p.s. +140 for Atlanta vs Indiana is a joke... the series is a coinflip. I will bet ATL in 2nd half every game against any opponent at odds of +200 or greater, simply because they have the greatest 2nd half player in the whole league wearing their uniform. When she doesn't shoot treys, she's a bleeping monster.

This Lynx team is one of the greatest teams in WNBA History and will very likely dominate throughout the postseason.

I'd be surprised if they lose more than 1 game the entire playoffs.

I'm sure Indiana was +140 based on home court advantage and having a better regular season record.

Nice play sir -- ATL will win this series

misread what you wrote.. yes it *is* based on regular season record and usually ignores H2H record entirely - a weakness that must be exploited

yes it must -- plus atlanta just looked more comfortable out there on the floor.

I don't think indiana can get game 2.

I think the sparks are in for a tough one in san antonio....going to be a high energy game.

seattle might win a game if they could find a way to consistently score -- too reliant on the 3 ball imo.
lynx just dominate all positions.

liberty are gone

Seattle going to knock off Minnesota?

Dream vs. Fever will be a good match -- I'd lean to the under, especially with the amount of points scored this weekend. I think things tighten up on that side of the floor as possessions become more valuable. This garbage is just too hard to cap though, refs make bogus calls and the girls sometimes hit ridiculous shots then go through 5 minute spurts where it looks like they are shooting on a rim thats too small for a basketball

If any team can win an elimination game against the Lynx in Minny it is Seattle. Most experienced team who have been there and done that.

But still think Lynx pulls it out and continues to the finals

I could see Seattle keeping it close until the end, final 4 minutes if Lynx hit their shots and Seattle doesn't they will end up covering.

I hope the Sparks can really take it to Minnesota in game 1. These 3 game series are too short in my opinion, they should be 5.

I see +200 Sparks to win the Conference, not bad, I think the books expect this one to go to 3.

I believe if the Sparks can make it to the final they will knock off either the Fever or the Sun
