My favorite rant of all time here

I believe Phoenix and San Antonio will just 'hope to win a game' this postseason. The East is a lot more open.

Post your series line guesses here. Most of all, post your bookies series PRICES here.

Here's to a fun and profitable postseason-2011.

Lets get this MB!

SO matchups are:

PHO v SEA and SAS v MIN

ATL v CON and NYL v IND

I think SEA and MIN advance in the West, while ATL and IND advance in the East.

SEA beats MIN then ATL beats IND.

Repeat of 2010?????

I'm not so sure about anybody beating Minnesota this postseason. It's a mean machine!

Full schedule here - games begin on Thursday

Game two of each series begins at 3-4PM (sat-sun). The only exception is Phoenix vs Seattle. Do you think an afternoon game is an advantage to home team because of a 'less electrified crowd' or whatnot?

Power Rankings for the final week

What are two words that Mercury fans have heard too often over the past few weeks? Back spasms. They have claimed games from both Diana Taurasi and Penny Taylor recently and with a first-round matchup against their nemesis from Seattle, the Mercury need to be at full strength next week.

Line guess:

Phoenix +250
@
Seattle -300

Here's a great read (and just a week old!) on WNBA futures.

LoL @ the 'compete with MLB and NFL' notion. I have never thought of that. Stern really needs to pull his head out of his behind.

I agree with what he says on the value part. Especially the part about Atlanta.

Line guess:

Atlanta Dream to win the WNBA Championship:
+1200

I think the dream have a great shot to get to the finals. If minn gets upset in the west then the dream have a great shot to win it all. Im thinking of putting money on them cause of the price. I got Fever, Dream, Storm, Minn. Dream Minn, Minn winning it all they are just though.

Can't wait for the playoffs to start.
Going to back the Storm when at home against Phoenix.

The storm still won even without Lozza so it could be a sweep on the cards :).

I think SEA pounds PHO 2-0. For PHO to win, they have to either shoot the lights out in all games, or play tough D inside against LJ, Little, Cash.

MIN 2-0 as well. SA is outmatched in every position (Yes, even shooting guard where Hammon is.)

Im pounding the -200 line for SEA.

Good luck :).
I am just going to go game by game as I can't bet on the series with my bookmaker.

Hope the odds will be ok for it to make a bit of $$$.

What people bet:
-112 to -129 Connecticut
-200 to -242 Seattle
-667 to -550 Minnesota

Like I said, the West is going to be slaughterhouse.

Atlanta is the only decent bet for series, as far as I'm concerned. Slightest of edges.

Every other price is pretty much dead on in my book.

Like both favorites today, expect Catchings to have a huge game while CP keeps it close for the Liberty for a while before Fever pull away.  What do you think about laying the 5.5 with Seattle?

I think laying 5.5 with Seattle was the easist money I've made last two days.

And there was plenty of that!

Some fantastic games ahead of us. I wonder if the books will get their garbage together and allow me to bet a 5 pt teaser to take all dogs with +9 or +10 for today and tomorrow? I fully expect two underdogs to win straight up.

may just bet four singles

That teaser never had a chance. Damn it's hard to win away in this league. Only Atlanta and Phoenix can do so consistently

I think it's ridiculous they have double headers in conference finals. Why wouldn't you have a game a day? Is there something I'm missing?

Just for a pinch. But I'm nowhere near hedging with an extra money on Indiana. I might do that after Atlanta takes game 1

writeup: Indiana as the proverbial snowball in hell

More layups, please!

More fouls on the newly crowned MVP Catchings!

We need this game, girls! Might have to close it out on Sunday without de Souza!
