#1 Posted: 10/4/2012 8:05:05 PM YTD Record:
Overall: 121-138-2, -80.05 Units , , UFC: 94-100-2, -59.55 Units , , Strikeforce: 11-11, +3.30 Units Bellator: 16-27, -23.80 Units , , Final 2011 Record: 148-132-3, +123.55 Units Final 2010 Record: 115-119-3, +11.25 Units Final 2009 Record: 80-82-1, +23.75 Units
I had my best MMA capping weekend in months last weekend. Hopefully, it is a sign of good things to come. Here is what I have locked in on so far:
1. Marcus Levesseur (-115) over Carlo Prater. Risking 2.3 units to win 2 units.
2. Aaron Simpson (+153) over Mike Pierce. Risking 2 units to win 3.05 units. Simpson looked so much bigger and stronger than Pierce at the weigh-ins. I had this line capped as a PK'em before the lines were released, so I am happy to take Simpson in this spot.
3. Danny Castillo (+140) over Michael Johnson. Risking 2 units to win 2.8 units. I actually thought Castillo would be favoured in this fight . Still not impressed by Johnson. He needs to do more than beat an over hyped Ferguson and a piss poor figher IQ'd Roller before I change my mind on this guy. I still can't get the image of Johnson losing to Featherweight Brookins out of my head...
4. Josh Neer - Justin Edwards under 2.5 rounds (-140). Risking 1.4 units to win 1 unit.
5. Yves Edwards - Jeremy Stephens under 2.5 rounds (+110). Risking 1 unit to win 1.1 units.
6. Bart Palaszewski (+185) over Diego Nunes. Risking 1 unit to win 1.85 units.
I will probably have some Bellator plays and a couple of UFC parlays tomorrow!
For tonight, Lets Go RAMS!!! |

#10 Posted: 10/5/2012 9:23:14 AM I don't feel confident in anyone who lost to Cody McKenzie.
I lean the other way on most of those but won't bet many of them. So good luck on the card!

#11 Posted: 10/5/2012 9:30:31 AM MR, that may have been the worst game ever last night. Horrible offense both sides. I don't play a lot if alt lines but have had good success in past. |

He was dominating McKenzie up until that point. In interviews after, he said he was really tense and was suffering the octagon jitters we always here about. I think we see the real Levesseur tonight.

I think Simpson's game plan is to clinch with Pierce against the cage Courture style, not necessarily to try to take Pierce down. I think he will be successful during the first 2 rounds executing that game plan before slowing down in the 3rd. It should be enough for Simpson to win by decision. |
