Whipton, I noticed you took Stann on your Tapology picks...what is your thinking on this fight?

stann striking will dictate this match.  brian is the best striker mike will have faced up to this point is his career.  if mike wants to stand in the pocket with stann and duke it out he's going night night. brian's kryptonite is his weak TDD, mike's not a TD artist. he knows how to and has taken ppl down but thats not really his thing.

stann via ko/tko/dec

I think Wanderlei Silva, Dan Henderson, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Rashad Evans and even Jorge Rivera might have something to say about that. Stann hits hard, but lets not overstate his prowess. Knocking out an old and broken Alessio Sakara, dusting a glass chinned Jorge Santiago and clubbing a very sick Leben does not make this guy some kind of world class striker.

stann striking >>> hendo, lol aki, lol jorge, silva
shad' is a pretty good striker

hendo has that one hand nothing else striking wise to worry about

aki's judo >>>>>>>>>> stann

jorge lol

rich franklin striking  >>>>>> silva

if you're trying to turn me into a stann nuthugger ... you can't lol

so i'll end with this

Brian Stann's TDD sucks

im not trying to do anything, I just disagree with the statement of yours that I quoted. I also don't think Stann is a better striker than all those fighters I mentioned. To each their own.

Also I disagree that Hendo only has one punch, he has very good striking, see shogun fight. ok im done disagreeing with you now.

i just got on 5 dimes. props are now playable for me woohoo

to celebrate here's a couple early 153 picks. im not gonna even bother to cap a lot of the the prelims too many variables and lack of footy. i did cap the gonazaga/dos santo and cane/camozzi fights.

i've been geeking out on this mma betting stuff for awhile now, but i've never took  capping fights serious. a lot of times i would go by a fighter's rep, his prefight hype talk, weigh-in shape, but worst of all of people's opinion. i've changed my style in capping and watch all the footy i can find and keep notes on fighter's styles and tendencies. my growth in the note taking portion of capping has grown a lot from my first note taking card  @ 151 through the other 2-4 that have followed.

so looking back at my fighter notes im less confident, but i still go with my picks, agree with my picks. and love my picks.

lets me show you an example of a fighter from each event.
