First post on covers, have been following the UFC for years now thought i would share my wagers. have 2 straights and 2 parlay's so far!

Cheick Kongo Risk 250(+115); Really like this play here, Jordan stand up is well below average, cant see him winning the stand up battle with a veteran striker like Kongo. Jordan has alot of hype around him, fighting out of greg jackson's camp but his biggest win to date is over lavar johnson via school yard choke(coined that myself). I expect Kongo to win a easy UD or late TKO.

Faber Risk 250(+160); Very tough fight here with barao, the brazilian is very strong oppent, Im just not that blown away with his recent opponents. His win over jorgensenn was impressive imo but faber has been fighting the cream of the crop forever. Although people may feal faber is getting alittle long in the teath i dont see it! His hand speed has been fornominal since dropping to 135 and he has power in both hands that barao hasnt seen yet. The fight line here should be more around both fighters being -115$ or so. Cant pass up a former champ still in his prime wanting to prove he still has the good some say he has lost. (see this being a FOY type of fight very excited!!!)

Always throw in a parlay or two see if i cant string a few bets together win some nice $$$

parlay1) faber+Lombard+kongo 100-610
parlay2) Ring + Head 50-290; Ring has already defeated Court and i expect the same in this fight since im not a fan of mcgee at all. With head im just going with value here, Ebersole fought about 4 weeks ago and is moving to LW following this fight mean while Head is a former MW so im hoping with the extremely short layoff James Head can capitalize with his long shot odds

GL everyone, hopefuly i have a strong showing with my first post

Thanks for the support guys. Really hate laying a big cup of Juice on undercard fighters(hate to do it with anyone who nickname isnt "bones"lol). I just feel like every card or so you get that one undercard fight were a big dog pulls through i.e Varner, cung le and wineland( i know not has big has a dog but you get the point)

Adding one more parlay.

Jimmo + Riddle 150-232; I know perosh is some Aussie bjj ace but i see Jimmo having a workman like proformance tonight and grinding out a UD with better standup and being very defensive if it goes to the ground. Also has the home town support if It goes to the cards, only canadian fighter on the card. Riddle is a realy veteran with all of his 9 fights being in the ufc. Hes the superior althelte in this one where the only such i see clement having is with a flash KO. look for another boaring UD or possibly a Sub victory from riddle

be back later with possibly one more maybe going to go Faber inside the distance. GL to all

Just as an FYI, there are 7 Canadians on this card:

Delorme, Jimmo, Gagnon, Carvalho, Clarke, Ring and Clements

wow, that is bad, thinking there is only one canadian on this card

I read that Canadian fighters are 4-10 (if I remember correctly) in UFC events in canada. GSP has to be atleast 2 of those

Fade the Canadians, eh!!

making a reference to shawn jordan as hype is pretty stupid.

the guy benches 600, powercleans 450, ran a 4.5/40 and backflips and one-hand somersaults on a 5'11 250-pound frame.

shawn may lose but referring to him as hype is negligent.

Ummm none of those things are gonna mean garbage once the cage door closes.  The fact that you referenced him doing a backflip and one hand somersault to disprove the notion that he is all hype makes you sound silly.  All of these ex football players are crazy athletic and can bench/squat crazy numbers etc,etc but as you've seen with guys like Schaub and Mitrione, they all get exposed eventually.  While Jordans losses have come to the likes of Devin Cole and Mark Holata, Kongo was losing to the best in the world like Cain and Mir.  Losing to Hunt last time out may in fact be a sign he is on the decline but before that he beat Mitrione who's stand up is light years ahead of Jordans, so Jordan's only real shot is to take Cheick down or get lucky with a big right.  If he tries to stand all three rounds with Kongo, he'll get finished or lose 30-27!

exactly how many guys do you know that are 5'11" that can run a 4.5/40?

and how many of these guys can do standing backflips?

and can bench 600 and  powerclean 450?

the guys a freak and the only thing "silly" is someone that doesnt understand physics and the pure athleticism of this guy.

he is probably the strongest figther in mma and if you think hes going to stand and box kongo you are also silly.

different sources. he set a couple records while at lsu while playing fullback.

if anyone has ever spent time in a gym and saw someone 5'11" 250-pounds benching 600, power-cleaning 450, then running a 4.5/40 and after hes done doing a back-flip somersault you would be in utter amazement and think you have just seen a once-in-a-lifetime person.

only someone who is "silly" would think otherwise.

also, my bet against kongo is that kongo is no longer kongo.

Not looking to get into a back and forth here but there are about 10 guys on every NFL roster that are 5'11 and run a 4.5 40 and I'm pretty sure all of em can do a standing back flip but you got me on the bench and power clean.....how much does Jon Jones bench, what about St Pierre....you're not sure right, exactly because who gives a darn. Again those stats mean person once the cage door closes, being a workout warrior doesn't equal W's.  Jordan has a ton of potential and yes he is as strong as an ox and could easily catch Kongo with a right on his suspect chin or take him down and ground and pound him but I think him being favored in this fight is a bit of a reach.  But I suppose the guys making the lines were in fact thoroughly impressed with that one hand somersault after his victory over a washed up Oli Thompson.  All that athleticism and you still lose to a Devin Cole, I mean Jordan is 10x the athlete that Cole is and somehow lost that fight.  Again I'm not arguing against Jordan winning this fight just your reasoning to him not being all hype.  This fight will be the true test of that, if he can't beat Kongo who is on the decline then he is in fact all hype and if he does dominate Kongo then he may be the real deal, butveither way it will be an entertaining fight and one I look forward to seeing.

name 10 guys on the nfl superbowl championship giants roster that can run 4.5/40's that are under 6'0 and are 250-pounds.

yeah, thats what i thought. actually, now you can check on any nfl roster and you will realize that a 6' 250-pound man running a 4'5/40 is an accomplishment in and of itself. i can comfortably say that there probably no mma fighters over 250-pounds that can run a 4.5/40.

now, my post was simply to say that this guy is not hype and that he is a physical speciman, something you cant seem to comprehend because in all likelihood you havent spent much time in a gym. presumably, many people that post here have worked out for a considerable period of their lives and you discounting the physical attributes of jordan make you look "silly."

actually, stupid.

and dont try to change the subject to jones and stpierre, this is about jordan against kongo.

Where in there do you reference that they have to be 250? Again not saying that he isnt a FREAK athletically and I'll use the term a physical specimen(notice how I spelled it correctly as well) since you seem to think that all these things equal wins the cage.  Yes you're right I haven't spent much time in a gym to workout because I was busy spending time in a gym where "real athleticism" is displayed, in a BASKETBALL gym.  I played college ball (NAIA) but still college ball nonetheless. Athleticism isn't displayed in a gym with weights, its displayed on a field, a court or a cage.   People saying he is all hype is referring to his MMA ability not his work inside a friggin gym, get a clue.  This isn't a weight lifting competition, its a competition to see who is the more well rounded mixed martial artist and for someone to bring Jordan's prowess in that area into question is not that far fetched.  I mean obviously you are a meathead who thinks how much weight you can lift will in turn make you successful in all facets of life but it doesn't. Again Shawn Jordan is STRONG,ATHLETIC and a PHYSICAL SPECIMEN nobody ever questioned that, they questioned whether or not he is a complete enough MMA fighter to beat Kongo and thats it.  I now look forward to how you can incorporate the word "silly" into your rebuttal.

P.S. Shawn Jordan is STRONG AND ATHLETIC
