#1 Posted: 6/24/2012 11:39:27 PM We might as well start talking about it. We all want it to be here. A pretty good looking card if you ask me.
Alessio vs. Roller should be a good, competitive fight. I don't think Roller is that skilled but he is tough. I think the loser will get sent away so both guys should be ready to go. Alessio has much more experience and has better stand up. Roller is a good wrestler but we haven't seen it do transition as a fighter. I am not sure what the number will be but I like Alessio to take a decision here.
Fukuda vs. Philippou is up next. Philippou has impressed lately. He is a brawler that is good all around. He should be the bigger man as Fukuda is a pretty average sized middleweight. Fukuda's competition hasn't been that great. Beating Cantwell almost means nothing. Philippou has beat Hamman and Court Mcgee which aren't that special either. I think Philippou bullies Fukuda for the duration of the fight to take a decision. A no play for me though.
Time for bed but I will post some more tomorrow. Good night guys. |

#2 Posted: 6/25/2012 9:26:56 AM Do you know what the lines are for 148? I likw Maia and Mendes as early leans. Also, forrest is a lock because judges love forrest (because hes white) and hate Tito (because hes mexican). I expect Tito to take 2 of 3 rounds and get robbed. Ufc business as usual. |

#3 Posted: 6/25/2012 11:08:57 AM Forest a lock? I'm surprised he's as favored as he is. Maia is a dog, I like him in this fight (at a prelim look) but I am concerned about how he handles his weight cut to 170. Also really like phillipou... |

#4 Posted: 6/25/2012 11:31:03 AM as I said, I expect it to be a close fight with forrest, but theres no way the white power judges let tito win against danas favorite tuf can |

#5 Posted: 6/25/2012 11:59:53 AM That fight isn't worth playing at all. I just hope both guys go for it because they both know their time is almost up. |

#6 Posted: 6/25/2012 12:12:58 PM Forrest wins. Because he is better, not because of the judges. Tito goes out 30-27 across the board. |

#7 Posted: 6/25/2012 4:50:17 PM Fukuda is actually a quite beefy middleweight. He is 6'0 to Philippou 5'11. So basically the same size. If this stays standing it's Philippou all day, Fukuda has nasty ground and pound but like most Japanese fighters, he lacks the MMA wrestling to get the fight to the ground.

#8 Posted: 6/25/2012 4:52:35 PM and yes I know he is one of the few Asian fighters with a real background in wrestling...but he wrestled at a Japanese university so yeah, my initial point stands.

#9 Posted: 6/25/2012 4:56:24 PM Camoes vs. Guillard. Does Melvin bring it and finish this guy? Camoes can submit him. Has Melvin learned anything in the last six months? His career is over if he loses this fight. Camoes is a capable and decent fighter but I think he gets run over here. Guillard will be smart and patient. Camoes knows the only chance he has is a quick submission. I like Melvin to finish this in the first minute of the second round.
Nurmagomedov vs. Tibau. We all know what we can expect from Tibau. Big, strong and ready to brawl. He can wrestle and has good ground and pound. Nurmagomedov looked good against Shalorus but Tibau is a monster who won't be bullied. I think this could be a fight of the night candidate. Both men are tough as nails. Has Nurmagomedov ever been in the cage with a guy as big and relentless as Tibau? We will see early. I like this fight to go the distance. |

#10 Posted: 6/25/2012 5:03:00 PM I think the undercard could be as good or better than the main card. A lot of really good matchups. I can't wait for next Saturday. This card is a money maker. |

#11 Posted: 6/25/2012 5:26:25 PM I'm leaning Guillard myself, more ways to win...he really just needs to stay away form the Subs of Camoes.

#12 Posted: 6/25/2012 5:54:17 PM I love tibau. Nurma... Looked great last fight. Only fight if his I've seen. But you have to think Tibau pulls it out
Guillard. The mental midget should easily win, but there's always that risk that he will do something stupid |

#14 Posted: 6/27/2012 9:34:04 AM i think Le will be a slight fav... I think Le "probably" wins, but I am thinking Cote at this point. Le is not goiung to be in great shape. He's old. Hardly has any MMA fights under his belt. Cote struggled with his ground game, but has decent standup so this fight is perfect for him. And he is hungry and moivated. A win might mean a few more fights in the UFC, especially since he stepped in late |

My guess would be Le will open in the -140 to -150 range, with Cote in the +110 to +120 range. |

#19 Posted: 6/28/2012 4:12:12 AM Well I hope you guys are right and Cote opens as the underdog, I think he's a solid pick over Le. Forrest/Tito is an interesting fight, I've been trying to figure that one out over the last couple days, I'm thinking Forrest will take the decision as he probably won't have the power to TKO Tito with the body shots like Rashad/Nog, and you know that Tito will be up for the fight. Cannot wait for Silva/Sonnen 2..

#20 Posted: 7/4/2012 9:51:51 AM Easton and Menjivar is my favorite dark horse candidate for fight of the night. Easton hasn't looked that great but solid. Menjivar is just all over the place. This is going to be such a quick fight we don't know what will go on. These guys might pull everything out. The winner will be in great shape and probably end up fighting a top 5 guy. I am going to lay off and enjoy it.
Cote and Le is an odd fight to me. Cung Le needs to go away and start in a couple of B-movies. Cote still has some fight left and is probably ready to get back in the swing of things. I think he can be versatile and make Le tired. Le is old and gassed against Silva. Cote should be fresh and ready for the fight to go anywhere. I hoped Cote would be -180 or -200 but that is not the case. I like Cote here even with the inflated number and will probably add it to a parlay.
Enjoy the fourth guys. I will round out the card in the next day or so. Great weekend coming up. |
