Replaces hunt vs Struve. Another guy who can take his head off. Lavar is even quicker with his hands than hunt. And almost as powerful. I love Struve but I wasn't liking his chance against hunt... Or lavar

Actually ... if Struve does get it to the ground like Barry did, it won't get back up again

I actually think this is a better match up for Struve.  Hunt's takedown defense is world class in comparison to Johnson's.  I actually like Struve to make quick work of Johnson vis submission.  But what the hell do I know with the losing streak I have been on...

That's likely for sure. Struve loves to bang though. With the hardest hitters. Both matchups are two of them. But he is as slick as almost any HW on the mat

Agreed, I was probably going to bet on Hunt over Struve, but I think this is a better matchup for him.  Lavar is more aggressive though and that's what you have to do to put Struve's lights out, but Barry got Lavar down ridiculously easy, think Struve will clinch/TD/sub

I agree with MR219. I think this is a better fight for Struve. Hunt has the one punch, walk off KO kind of power where Lavar has massive power but it comes in bunches. This fight could go down like Lavar vs del Rosario.

As for the betting line, I think if heavy money goes in on Lavar then I might make a play for Struve. The thing that worries me is that Struve always gets tagged. So can he survive a several punches from Lavar and get it to the ground? We shall see.

Struve's got this.  Everyone is overrating the KO's that he's been on the receiving end of.  Those were well placed shots and Struve has shown improvement on his head movement since then... nothing great, but enough to avoid Lavar long enough to get it to the ground.

Wait for Struve's line to improve to +110 or so and then take it.

I'd be too to bet on this fight.  Part of me says Lavars ground game sucks..it will get to the ground and struve by sub. But then i realize Lavar has 15kos in 17 fights..4 out of 5 struves losses are by ko...and I ask how its going to the get to the ground. I dont see struve shooting a double..probably has to be in the clinch..where i picture lavar KOing with an uppercut followed by some ground and pound. Tossup to me.

Yeah, i'm gonna pass on this one...it will either be over in the first few minutes, or Struve will sub-mit him...i thinkv vegas set the line just right.  I like Miopic, though...that lay-off for Del Rosario is too much to over-come over guy who's arguably as talented anyway...-155's a great price too

I think if Struve fights the way he did versus JDS, he has no shot against Lavar. If he plays smart and uses his advantage and feet and is able to get out of the first round, it's his fight. Struve has been impressive in his wins over Morecraft and McCorkle. The Travis Browne loss looks better now that Browne has beaten Broughton and his absolute demolishing of Chad Griggs. This is a big test for Struve considering Lavar has nothing to lose in this fight and will come out guns blazing.

my question is how is struve gonna get this fight to the ground....hes not a wrestler...he will have to trip him in the clinch maybe....lavar hits hard....real hard....if struve is gonna stand with him hes going to sleep...pretty much simple as that....if u r gonna bet struve y not bet the prop by sub...u will get much better odds and thats his best outlet....im still on the fence...lavar is a dump on the ground so if struve can trip him...or even pull guard i would expect a sub....but as i mentioned hes not a shoot and takedown guy.....so that is the dilemma

Barry got him down. Another positive for Struve is his kicks
