#3 Posted: 2/22/2012 4:45:19 PM I took Bendo at +120... close fight to call really. Don't see either guy getting finished and could easily be FOTN.

#7 Posted: 2/23/2012 11:21:53 AM Finally switching to the Frankie side! The good guys side!
You interested in any other fights on the card? Tough card to bet much straight outside of the title fight. Unless you like a dog. But all the big dogs are dogs for a reason.
Good Luck

Interesting. When breaking it down I see no advantages for Bader. His MMA wrestling hasn't looked good enough to take a guy like Rampage down. And I think Rampage is pretty ready/excited to fight in Japan.

#11 Posted: 2/23/2012 7:07:46 PM I was thinking of putting Rampage in a parlay. Maybe I will take another look.

rampage has had some close decisions and im putting him in that 'old guy' category now, i think he is starting to decline. im not saying bader is that great, but he is capable and at +215, the value is decent. Quinton is by far the more popular fighter, i think most people will think Bader and think of the jones loss or the ortiz loss (where bader was a massive massive fav) and they automatically think bader will lose to Quinton... i think bader can put up a fight here. I think this fight should be a bit closer in odds but because of quinton being such a popular fighter, quinton is a -250 fav instead of being more like a -190 fav which is where i think he should be...
Gl whatever u choose..

#14 Posted: 2/24/2012 2:16:33 PM Not like he looked amazing, no one does vs. Jones. But did he look that bad? I thought he looked decent and shrugged off some of Jones' takedowns.
What scares me though is I saw a video of Dana asking Rampage what he weighed. And Page is like you don't even want to know. And laughed. I know he is hyped for this Japan fight. He wanted to fight there and asked and begged to fight there. But perhaps he will be out of shape.
Not a fan of Bader's skills at alll. He is basically a more athletic Matt Hamill. A guy with overrated wrestling and some power.
Good Luck though. I prolly won't play Rampage unless I put him in a parlay.

#15 Posted: 2/24/2012 2:39:10 PM Johnny, or Money, or anyone else who may know.... it's always appeared to me that Bader doesn't cut a lot of weight. He seems to look very similar at the weigh in and the fight.... Any insight on this?
Guys, I am all over Rampage, but good luck, as always with your pick. There's one thing that has stood out for me when watching Bader, and someone else even mentioned this in another thread. He seems to lack confidence. I probably lost more on Bader (vs ortiz) than any other fighter I've bet on. Thought it was a fo show! but when he came into the cage. he looked so frickin scared, I was really worried... for good reason. Then Ortiz came in lookin so pumped, it seemed over before it started. Again in the countdown, He just didn't seem like the usual fighter saying he's winning for sure, etc. But more so "this is a great opportunity, nothing to lose, blah, blah..." And then he says "stepping stone", which when any opponent hears that... Just my thoughts. could be wrong |

I just think he's better at weight cutting then some so he doesnt look all drawn out as some (james irvin at 185).

yeah i almost never ever take big favs but i thought bader vs ortiz was a lock too and i took it in a parlay for fun, well that was the only fight i lost lol. friggin bader lol. I think bader will do just fine is this fight.. at +215 or whatever it is now, i dont think u can do too wrong in betting him. Rampage has looked a bit lethargic over the years, him and his movie, he said it himself he didnt feel like being a fighter anymore at times.. |

#18 Posted: 2/24/2012 3:56:57 PM For some reason, i can just picture rampage (very soon) say "i think im done fighting"... could be tomorrow? lol. Or something along those lines of him saying something about retiring but then guaranteed he will fight again, lot of fighters do that. After he loses another decision and his mind isnt in it anymore....
And no im not saying he retires, im pretty sure he will fight many more years but i can just see him getting tired of fighting, tired of the training, he said it himself that he really really hates to train. Some guys love to train long and hard and get into great shape, he mostly despises it lol.

#24 Posted: 2/26/2012 12:37:17 AM Nice call on Hunt and Bader. It amazes me how many more "past their prime" fighter, skip cardio and gas out against younger fighters. I knew Bader would win once I saw Rampage looking out of shape entering the ring. |
