Updated YTD Record: 19-13, +2.65 Units
UFC: 16-11, -1.65 Units ,
Strikeforce: 3-2, +4.30 Units
Final 2011 Record: 148-132-3, +123.55 Units
Final 2010 Record: 115-119-3, +11.25 Units
Final 2009 Record: 80-82-1, +23.75 Units

A mediocre start to the year for me.  I have had one horrible night, one awsome night and a pretty much breakeven night last week.

I am liking a lot of dogs on this card...

I am going to be watching line movement overnight before I lock in on everything, but here are the plays I have locked in on so far:

1.  Michael Kuiper (+162.5) over Rafael "Don't Call Me Nadal" Natal.  Risking 4 units to win 6.5 units.

2.  Alex Caceres (+130) over Edwin Figueroa.  Risking 4 units to win 5.2 units.  If you like Bruce Leroy here, I suggest locking in on this immediately.  The line on this fight is dropping really fast.  I see it is now a PK at bookmaker.

3.  Parlay of Stephen Thompson over Dan Stittgen and Matt Riddle over Henry Martinez.  Risking 4.25 units to win 3 units.

4.  Renan Barao - Scott Jorgensen under 2.5 rounds (+190).  Risking 2 units to win 3.8 units.

Back with the rest of my plays tomorrow, after I have locked in...

2.  Michael Kuiper (+162.5) over Rafael "Don't Call Me Nadal" Natal.  Risking 4 units to win 6.5 units.

3.  Alex Caceres (+130) over Edwin Figueroa.  Risking 4 units to win 5.2 units.

4.  Parlay of Stephen Thompson over Dan Stittgen and Matt Riddle over Henry Martinez.  Risking 4.25 units to win 3 units.

5.  Carolos Condit (+175) over Nick Diaz.  Risking 2 units to win 3.5 units.

8.  Parlay of Ed Herman over Clifford Starks and Josh Koscheck over Mike Pierce.  Risking 2.45 units to win 2 units.

9.  Chris Cope (+290) over Matt Brown.  Risking 1 unit to win 2.9 units.  There is no f*cking way Matt Brown should be a -350 favourite over anyone these days...

BOL to everyone with your plays!!!

I like Kos as well, but am no where close to being as confident in the play as you are.  There is no way I would risk 44 units on this fight.  I think you are wrong on your assessment on this line.  I was actually expecting it to be more around -200 than the -350 that you were expecting.  Pierce is a really good, well rounded fighter that matches up well with Kos.  I think Kos does everything a bit better than Pierce, which is why I am on him.  However, strange things can happen, especially if this goes to the judges.

I really hope Kos comes through for you tonight...

He showed tremendous improvement in his overall game in his last fight against Escovedo.  He will also have a significant height, reach and speed advantage over Figuero.  Figuero is not a UFC calibre fighter IMO...

i agree with the value on condit. diaz is there to be hit and was almost out against daley. i dont think this fight goes to the ground as diaz likes to strike against strikers(noons, daley, lawler, marius) even though he is superior on the ground so that also improves condits chances.

i had werdum against reem strikeforce at +400. if he would have stood and traded instead of pulling all that bullshit(flopping, feigning injury) he probably would have won the fight. he was winning the exchanges all night and reem was gassed at the end.

he beats big country tonight.

Please dont waste your money on Kuiper. He's 11-0, but he is not very good. Youtube him, and you will stick your money right back in your pocket.

Chris Cope will not beat Matt Brown. Not a chance in hell.

Also, be weary of betting on Riddle, esp. with the heavy juice. Nobody knows Martinez, but he is an all American wrestler who has the will of a champ. Not saying he'll win, but use someone else for your parlays.

How do you handicap fights?

Best of luck.

A very strange night of fights.  I really think Herb Dean and two of those judges completely hosed Alex Caceres tonight.  I have never seen or heard of a ref taking 2 points away from a fighter for an accidental low blow, even if it was the second one of the fight.  I also do not know how two judges could have given Figueroa the first round of the fight.  He landed a big head kick.  Big f*cking deal.  Caceres rebounded from that blow very quickly and then took Figueroa's back.  Caceres was dominating him in the striking department before he was knocked down...Absolute B.S. IMO.

I do feel a bit fortunate on the Riddle and Koscheck decisions, as I thought both Martinez and Pierce won the first and second rounds in both of those fights.  That kind of takes the sting off of the Caceres B.S.

i think fig won the 1st round...what did bruce do besides get kicked in his head and basically knocked out, then fig was trying to finish for however long that was, and then what? alex scrambled his way and basically tried to choke him for the last part of the round....and you think that warrants him winning?

not sure i agree with you saying bruce was dominating the stand up striking, pretty sure thats not true at all, he had a huge edge on the ground but really couldnt submit him.

imo fig should have not continued after those 2 huge nut shots and just took the win, he was obviously hurting from those 2 kicks to his groin and you could see it in his power and his movement...the kid is good and you saying he isnt ufc calibre is pretty laughable.

do you think alex is ufc calibre?

you're an idiot. you're just trying to justify your prefight comments that caceres sucks. caceres dominated figueroa and fig was looking for a way out by working the injuries. first 2 pt deuct i've ever seen
