Well, between last week and this week the one thing I can say is the TNF matchups are getting a lot better and this is a good one tonight.
Unfortunately last week my stellar primetime record went into the crapper with losses on Minnesota and Carolina. I wouldn't go crazy on this one tbh I think it is a better game to watch and it's a tough game to cap. I played on both the Raiders and Chiefs last week and they both lost and watching both games they both looked like absolute trash and I wouldn't be too confident on either team.
After the KC/Washington game I thought, ok, they Chiefs are vulnerable, they won't be undefeated much longer. So I played against them vs Houston, figuring it was the second straight road game, Houston had playoff revenge from the whooping 2 years ago, and was rejuvenated with Watson, while the Chiefs had a playoff revenge game on deck vs Pittsburgh after that and then a division game. But they handled Houston easily, and then when I played ON them vs Pittsburgh, they got smacked by the Steelers who looked dreadful vs Jax the week before.
Such is the mind field of the NFL. Sometimes you're locked in, sometimes you're just a week off and it throws everything out of wack. Because I also was surprised that after losing on the road to Washington and then Denver that they lost to Baltimore and SD back to back at home.
So when I first saw the line I thought, well, Washington beat Oakland with ease, but KC beat Washington so = KC, but if you saw the game you know the Skins were actually leading for almost the entire game and KC only covered from a late scoop and score.
I also thought, well, is a team that won 5 in a row to start the year more likely to respond to their first loss? And are the Raiders who lost 4 in a row more likely to lost 5 in a row now playing a good team? And was the loss for KC last week probably due in part to having one eye on this divisional matchup, while the Steelers were motivated after Ben's nightmare 5 INT game? And I had to answer YES to all those. But STILL, this is the NFL, and it is just a funny game, logic is often muddled and often doesn't come into it at all.
And I STILL think the KC defense is very vulnerable and I really didn't like how they looked last week. I think Oakland and Pittsburgh are similarly built on offense and defense. And this is really must win for Oakland even this early, at 2-4 with Denver and KC having such good records they can't fall any further behind. And I don't think the NFL wants them to, either, they have the schedules set up now to facilitate exciting finishes for the division titles they want them to be neck and neck.
So I'll go with OAKLAND ML for 1 unit.
