And what is the best way to do it? I was thinking of moving to Vegas and starting a company that basically only exists to find out and go over information about all the sports you can bet on, that you like. The idea is to basically have the best people and spend the most time on picks so that they are much better and you can make a lot more money.

Me and my contacts discussed this years ago, yes you can do it but you must have discipline. I remember a while back on covers there was this great capper and he decided to move down to vegas and he daily vlog or once a week videos that he posts on youtube to let the covers community how well he was doing. Man, it started out okay, but everyone can tell he was losing it. Don't know what happen to his school, but I think he dropped out and pursued a bartending career down in vegas. Then eventually, his latest youtube videos, you can tell he was a complete mess, looks like he had no sleep for days, broke, eyes looked wired af. Pretty much his vegas took his life, ruined it.. he was never the same again. True story. As long as you have discipline, you'll be fine. If not, vegas will consume you.

Why would you have to move to Vegas to do that? All the same data anywhere, and you could place bets online or locally or find someone there to do it....

I would guess he wants to do it legally and have a legitimate business.
Anyway, most new businesses fail and most people lose at gambling. To put it simply, the odds are against you!

You are describing Covers in a nutshell. This is what they already provide: trends, stats, consensus, forums, scores, in-depth matchup stats, ref stats, etc. and handicapper picks for those who don't want to do it all themselves.
Not sure what you would be doing differently, but you'd be behind the eight ball big time. Already hundreds of online sports sites out there doing similar things and Covers is probably the best of them all.
Once you decide on a bet, money management is the key to winning, period. Betting specific units and %'s of your bankroll.

In June 2015, Nevada enacted Senate Bill 443. This bill allows Nevada entities to pool funds from investors and wager with those funds in the Nevada race and sports markets. CG Technology will work with you to establish your entity wagering account so you can trade in the Nevada race and sports markets.

Entity wagering is a topic/undercurrent of the book "trading bases", following a former wall street guy to Vegas who created a pool fund to take on bases for a few years. good book, worth the read for anyone who hasn't read it yet.

If you think you can do it I don't know why you have to move to Vegas.
We live in a global world now, anything you can do in Vegas you can do it in your cell phone or your computer.
If you want my 2 cents, here they are
- Don't quit whatever you do for living just to go to Vegas to live a dream that very very few people reach, leaving everything behind. You can do it wherever you are without quitting everything. If you come up with a system that has been succesful for at least 2 or 3 years, then you can go, knowing your system is proven. It's really tough to go to Vegas to start something you think might work, especially when you can do it whenever you are.
-To make a living gambling you need discipline, a lot of discipline. That means not betting every game, every day, every sport. You have to pick your spots, know what you're good at (sport, situations, etc) and stay on those spots. The problem with going to Vegas is that you'll eventually fall in betting daily, betting multiple games, etc. what else are you going to do there?
- Many people have tried what you're saying and it's tough, the people making the lines usually are very sharp. They are simply the best.
My advice: Try your system without going to Vegas, if it works for 2 or 3 years then sir, you can make a living on gambling and you can move to make your dream. I've seen people with your idea go broke and it's not pretty.
