Yes Carson Wentz in his first road game on Monday Night Football with the bright lights on him. It could go very wrong. I'm betting it wont be that bad. The Bears defense, while improved, is still working out the kinks. They allowed Osweiler to throw for 231 yards and 2 TDs. They did pick him off 1 time but I am not high on Brock and expect him to be in the bottom 15 in most QB numbers throughout the season. This week Brock struggled most of the game vs the Chiefs and threw 2 picks. He did have a couple big gains mostly due to Hopkins and Fuller making some huge plays for him (53 yard catch from Fuller). Lamar Miller also gained over 100 yards in his first game in a Texans uni against the Bears "revamped" defense. Houston had the ball for 34 min against the Chiefs and only managed to score 19 points. Thats pretty disappointing and they were never able to fully put the Chiefs out of the game. So a mid level offense was able to score 23 points in the last 3 quarters against this Bears defense. Now to the Eagles..
Wentz was great in his first start albeit against the Browns. Not just his stats, but if you actually watched that game his ball placement and decision making was pretty remarkable for being his first NFL start. Now I dont expect him to be so crisp in his first road start and on MNF but he has plenty of playmakers around him to pick him up. Ryan Mathews has the bulk of the carries to himself now and they have Barner to spell him (who averaged 10.5 yards per carry last week) and Sproles to give the Bears a bunch of different looks. They lost Ertz to a rib injury but they still have a reliable TE in Celek and Matthews and Agholor at the WR position. This team is loaded with talent on the offensive side. They also have a pretty stout defensive line with Barwin, Cox and Logan. This is where the Bears struggle most. Yes they added Josh Stiton and still gave up 5 sacks against that nasty Houston line. I dont expect 5 sacks tonight but 2-3 with a bunch of hurries should be plenty. I expect Philly to put up quite a bit of points and the Bears to be playing catch up.
