Tampa Bay - was originally leaning TB for a possible VERY BIG play, but you'll see after reading my thoughts if you do that I still like them, but not necessarily as much anymore bc the 3rd straight road game is not really as crazy as I thought and TB no really HFA even though on b2b home game
TBay - b2b home game while Jags on 3rd straight roadie! after tough, maybe deflating BIG OT loss to division rival Colts with a home sandwich division game on tap against Houston. Lost to Colts with Matt Hasselbeck (though now 2-0) to put them at 1-3 instead of Colts at 1-3 after scoring 0 points in the 2h and missing 3 times on would be game-winning FGs. THIS IS A 3RD STRAIGHT ROAD GAME FOR THE JAGS*** - Really do think jags are not as bad as some may have expected honestly though and feel Bortles and the rest of the offense and young guys have been looking better in addition to the defense besides the game against the Pats, but it's the 3 straight roadies, big OT loss, and b2b home game for TB off a game where they looked worse than they are and going into a bye that get me on TB so much. Then again, technically a much easier road trip for the Jags since they don't even have to get on a plane let alone a long ride but still a tough situation since they had to go on the road to play in NE, then in INDY in an OT loss, and now on the road again in TB before going home to play another division game against the Houston Texans and then travel to London against Buffalo. Then again if they are coached well then maybe they come to play in this one knowing the team they are playing presents themselves with one of their easiest shots for a win in the near future. Think I am downgrading this play a bit after thinking about Jags some more and shortness of the trip + TB obv not good at home.
-> Star MLB probably out for Jags against a team
-> Tampa Bay put up a fight even though Winston single-handidly basically gave Carolina the game with a pic 6 to start off and another 3! pics later. They also lost a fumble so 5 Turnover game 1 of which returned for a TD. BIG DOWNGRADE in opponent against Jags and now in b2b home games Winston should have a better game.
-> Cam only threw for 124 yards and 11/22 against Tampa Bay and Carolina RBs besides Cam combined for 21 for 82 - Olsen held to 2 of 6 for 28 & Ginn scored twice but had no other catches and those were only 18 yards
-> Star MLB Paul Posluszny probably out too who is their leading tackler and MLB and against a team off an embarrassing performance but against a tough team and now in a b2b home game before their bye week.
-> Status of Davon House, Aaron Colvin, Seanderick Marks, Paul Posluszny for Jags?
-> Major Wright back for Tampa
-> Bucs on a b2b home game where they actually put up a fight against a tough Carolina team, but turned it over 5 times including a fumbled snap on the 2nd play of the game and a pic 6 on Winston's 1st throw + the kicker also missed 2 fgs and an extra point. You would think those things are typically one-offs + the fact that they are favored by 3 in this game when they have lost 11 straight home games says a lot to me. Tampa also has a bye coming up so playing a b2b home game off an embarrassing performance with a bye coming up against a much worse team who is on their 3rd road game in a row I feel they should play 1 of their best games of the season in this one.
-> For the Jags that loss last week to me will be really deflating as they were in a tough spot on a b2b road game vs a big divisional rival but got a break against Hasselback and should have won but blew it with 3 straight missed FGs. I think with this 3rd straight roadie against what is supposed to be a shitty TB team before finally going back home next weekend to play another divisional game against Houston that they probably come out flat and maybe lay an egg.
-> On Sunday, the Buccaneers host the Jaguars. If the Buccaneers win, Lovie Smith captures his first home win as the Buccaneers' head coach. If the Jaguars win, Blake Bortles captures the first road win of his career. Which one gives? Bortles on the road 0-8, Lovie Smith at home 0-10.
