Nevada sportsbooks took a record $119.4 million worth of wagers on Super Bowl XLVIII, making it the highest Big Game handle in the state’s history.
According to the Nevada State Gaming Control Board, sportsbooks won a record $19,673,960 with a hold percentage of 16.5 – the highest hold since 2005. A big part of that record win was the fact that the Seattle Seahawks dominated the Denver Broncos 42-8, winning outright as underdogs.
