They made 1 or 2 more plays than the 49ers. The game was a tale of two halves. The niners dominated on offense having a 300 yard passer, 100 yard rusher and TWO 100 + yard receiving games ( Davis/Crabtree ) averaged 8.5 yards per play. It's amazing that they lost this game with that kind of efficiency on offense. Ravens grinded and took big time advantage of the 49ers glaring weakness at cornerback - Culliver was just getting raped out there and looked like he really didn't belong on the field. As for the officiating it was down right awful, just brutal to watch.  Niners score a TD and go for TWO, Ed Reed is literally 2 yards offsides and in the niner backfield just as kap takes the snap, no call. I thought that was the biggest non call of the game. Niners get a retry from the one and convert the game is tied and a TD is not needed at the end. As for the final play of the game, yes the ball was probably not catchable 50/50 but that would never stop a HOLDING penalty from being called any way.. Ball was at the 5 yard line and Crabtree was held with two fistfulls of his jersey 2 yards into the end zone. Not sure how that wasn't called. It was disturbing to watch. That's why you must play 60 mins and not leave it up to chance by inept refs whether crooked intentionally or not. Another instance where a raven player physically went at an official and was not even flagged? Just a strangely officiated game anyway you look at it. Looking forward to next season. Take it easy fellas.

Why dont u bring up the missed calls that went against ravens like when flacco was drilled out of bounds when he was a full step an half out of bounds that wasnt called an woulda extensed drive an prob put game away. Or why dont u bring up the bs roughin kicker call where akers flopped. I give u respect for sayin congrats ravens backers but thays where u shoulda stopped cuz clearly ur just lookin from niners bias

Roughing the passer has been such a consistent call all year long and that was more roughing the passer then there was a hold on crabtree

the refs let the players decide the game. missed calls all over the field on both sides.

According to Mike Franseca, he watched that replay over a number of times and said the ball moved before Reed moved, it was not offsides.

Reed got a incredible jump on the play, it looked like offsides because he got such of a great jump but watching it in slow motion the ball clearly moved before Reed.

You say 49ers were  lucky to lose the game because of their incredible offensive effiency in the 2cd half, WELL, you'd be wrong again.

Why is a great half better than a great game.

The best stat with the highest correlation to victory in the NFL is QBPasser Rating and it was the Ravens who won this key stat over the entire game, not just winning but dominating the 49ers in this game to the tune of 124-92.

The team that wins this key stat wins 80% of all games and it was 9-1 coming in the SB in this season playoffs.

Using a combination of all stats with a high correlation to winning NFL games the Ravens DID OUT-PLAY the 49ers in these stats and should of won the gamer by 4 pts.

To say the Ravens did not out-play the 49ers is flat-out silly and your looking at what you want to see...................................
