I had money on the Ravens, but it couldn't be any more obvious that the Ravens got away with just about anything. If that 4th and goal wasn't holding, the they should just remove the penalty from the game. The Ravens got away with numerous pass interference, holding, unsportsmanlike, etc. Whenever you make contact with a ref you're ejected, he full out shoved the ref and didn't even receive a penalty.

One of the most lopsided officiating games I've ever seen in an NFL game, favoring the Baltimore Ravens, from start to finish.

Not to mention the 4 or 5 snaps when Balt was on top or over the line of scrimmage. Sorry but nobody can catch the QB as fast as Balt did on a few plays. Offensive pass int, holding, unnecessary roughness are are clearly visible from Baltimore, yet they only had 2 flags all game? Really 2 flags? Please tell me the last time Balt had 2 flags all game? I'm pretty sure they usually lead the game in flags. If you think the refs were not favoring the Ravens you do not know the game. Stop drinking and watch the game sober.
Yes I am a Niners fan. Bitter they lost, but I know its just a game and there is always next year. How ever its a sick feeling to watch the refs let the Ravens get away with murder.

The officiating was definitely terrible in this game. There were numerous penalties that was questionable in this game that went against SF. I hate to say it but NFL wanted Ravens to win. Art Modell's death and Ray Lewis retirement.

Ravens killed the 49ers in every aspect of that game. Anyone who says the refs were on the Ravens side and they got away with everything is a bafoon, just like Spartacus. The Ravens had 2 penalties for 20 yards and the 49ers had 5 penalties for 33 yards. Every penalty that was called on the 49ers they completely deserved.

If you want to talk about the penalties that weren't called you must hate football. Refs should let these teams play, it's the SuperBowl...if it is not an obvious penalty they did not call it, period. If the 49ers were smart they would have figured that out earlier like everyone else who knows football saw. The coach should tell his players that the refs are letting us play.

About the shove; he did not mean to shove the ref he thought a player was touching him and it was out of instinct. Since the ref saw that it was instinct, he did not call it. If the ref did not feel like that was enough to eject him from the game, he will not eject him. He got pushed, he's a grown as.s adult...he can throw his flag. So don't sit here and tell me that bullsh.it because that is all it is.

If you want to talk about who got screwed, it was clearly the Ravens. They had more momentum than a train going one thousand miles an hour. They were playing great and their defense only gave up six points in the first half. Their first posession was a f.uckin run back touchdown. Then they have to stop playing for another 34 minutes after the long half time. No team is going to be ready to go after playing with that much emotion and momentum having to wait that long. That was a straight disgrace and the only team that got screwed was the Ravens. The 49ers had nothing to lose, it was 3rd and 13 and down 22.

Ravens fought the comeback, played well and won the game with no mistakes except Ray Rice's fumble. There will always be haters that cannot accept the fact that a team won a championship in any sport.

I live in California and I know real 49ers fans and they even say that last call was not 100% holding and you can't decide a game with a call that isn't at least 80% sure. Another thing they said was that it was 1st and goal on the 5 and you don't go to Frank Gore when the game is on the line?? They had no Ngata, which was an absolute HUGE turning point in the game. Their best defensive player is gone and you don't run the pistol offense, with all those plays. You choose those 4 plays and get no yards, not to mention even if they scored I am almost 100% positive that Joe Flacco would have drove and either scored or kicked a field goal.

Ravens deserve that game, period. If the 49ers won I would have congratulated them even though I am a Raiders fan, so for people to sit here and blame this game on the refs know nothing. Exactly why spartacus said it because he is a clown.

Ill see you next year hiding under a rock when the BlueJays show up in the 3rd place in the AL East.

Not to mention the Akers flop....that was the biggest joke. That is 100% not a penalty. How can you block a kick if you can't be on the ground when a kicker comes down. What are you suppose to do roll quickly once you hit the ground.

That power outage was biggest BS to happen to the ravens....this game wouldn't have been in this situation...even the broadcasters kept showing the stats before and after the power outage....it's a good thing the better team won based off of experience and better play...not by a power outage

It's an absolute travesty that we can't have a single major football game end without ref crying--they were CONSISTENT the entire game, that they were going to let them play. The number of penalties was very few. Both players on that last play were jostling, you jackals crying for the flag really wanted the game to be decided by a flag? Shame on you. Be sports fans first, bettors second. I still like to enjoy my football and not see games decided by the refs.

You can always count on two things after a game.
They will both come from the guys who lost...
1. It was fixed
2. They got screwed

EastOakland, once again, I know it's tough for you to have a intelligent conversation without attacking people, but I guess in your environment being the unintelligent thug you are, that's an automatic reaction. You've already proven you're the biggest joke on this website. Your entire write up was as biased as it gets, period. I cashed a Ravens ticket, but if you watched the game through unbiased eyes, you'd realize that the Ravens got away with a whole lot more than the 49ers did. You clearly don't understand rules. When a player shoves a ref, whether it be instinct (which 99% of the time it is and they don't mean to) you still get penalized and ejected. I'm in no way a 49ers fan, I simply stated my opinion on the game, and how the refs performed. Again, your write up is the most biased thing I've ever seen, just like all the illogical garbage you spew in the MLB forum, where you have lost any credibility you may have had.

And dwarfman, your argument is completely flawed. So what your saint is that because it is basically the Superbowl deciding drive that a penalty shouldn't have been called? Would you say the same if the 49ers receiver shoved the defender to the ground, caught the ball, and won the game? I don't think so. The difference between my argument and yours is that I have 0 emotional attachment to this game, I don't like nor hate either team.

The days of intelligent conversations on this site are long gone. Why is it so hard for people to have an intelligent discussion, debating, but respectfully. Now we have trashy posters such as EastOakland who simply attack someone if they don't agree. No intelligent debating, simply bashing someone who doesn't agree.

If the ref felt like he should get ejected he would have done it, you can't make the guy eject a player.

Ravens were just smarter and decided to get away with what they could while the 49ers sat there and looked clueless.

Not at all, from start to finish in the Super Bowl or a regular season game, I want the refs to call blatant penalties. I'm saying in general I simply want a game more decided by the players and their play, rather than the games where there are 20 whistles and play is ridiculously stop/start stop/start. And I genuinely don't consider that last 9ers pass play to have been a 'blatant' or 'obvious' penalty. Both players were jostling for position.

I just tire of every major game, I feel like there is a huge section of fans, whether bettors or just fans of a team, that are always crying 'missed call blew the game.' The 9ers were lucky as hell to have been in the game, after getting dominated for 32 minutes and then having the miracle 'power outage' to take all momentum from the Ravens. Kudos to Kap and the boys for the comeback, they still had to make the comeback happen. And I'm not some hardcore Ravens fan, they were my bet side so I did win some $, but really I just wanted to see a good game, and I definitely feel like it was. Just think that 9ers fans and bettors should be more annoyed at the play calls down there at the end far more than the refs.

And I'm a longtime Covers follower, occasional poster--I think there's still plenty of good discussion here and there amongst the nonsense we all see around--I just think I, and a lot of others, tire of ref crying and especially, rigged/fixed posters
